Mikee's, Gulf Shores

this place was awful.The service was bad it took forever to get our food and when we got it the waitress had it all wrong. The waiting and patience we had with out food was not worth it because the food was not all that great. i wouldn't recomend it. it was a very dirty place too. The restrooms were very bad maintained and smelled i was terified to actually sit on the toilet because it was really dirty. it doesn't even deserve to rated.

I've been to Gulf Shores approximately 12 times on vacation. Mikee's is always on the list. Excellent food and great casual vacation atmosphere.

Just terrible! And to top things off, visible rodent droppings.

My wife and I went in to Mikee's Seafood tonight, 1/4/06 at around 7pm, it wasn't crowded but no place is on a Wednesday night. I just cannot say enough good about our waitress tonight. Her name is Mitzi and she was outstanding!! The food is excellent!! But Mitzi's attention to her customers was just outstanding. She exceeded my expectations!! Go to Mikee's in Gulf Shores - ask for Mitzie and tell her that Geoff and Susan sent you!! Good eating!! Geoff and Susan - SIlverhill, Alabama

local dumpster sludge. i waited so long to get in cause from hearing the reviews here, i thought it was worth the wait. i got in, after a hours wait outside in heat. the hostess seated us with another party without for warning. the entire place was overly crowded, very close arrangements. the waitress made quick one hit swoops every 5 to 10 minutes in the dinning room, which left me wondering, was she out back smoking a cigarette? my friends got shrimp, which they all complained resembled something frozen and out of a box. i personally ordered the catfish. it was the worst catfish i have ever eaten. being a native mississippian, i grew up eating plenty of catfish. i have eaten good to somewhat ok, but never, and i mean never have i had catfish this awful before. nothing else tasted worth my time either. i had to salt the hell out of my food to get any flavor other then grease and fat. this place was stated as cheap, and it was, but the food still wasn't worth what i paid. personally i feel i should have been paid to eat that crap. apparently the locals love this place, and to what reason i cannot figure out. i suppose its cause it cheap. but honesty, the place is a rip off even for there prices. the dinning experience even caused a argument between my spouse and i. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! shitty food, shitty service, shitty experience.

This was a nice family place to eat. It always has a line outside but we finally waited our turn, which only took 30 mins. Nothing speacil or fanasy, just a good place to eat seafood. It was recommended to us by our Alabama friend.

I am not the type to gripe and complain about places, but sometimes I just have to say something. We had to wait about an hour to get our table. So you can understand that we were quite tired by the time we got in and was hoping that food would make up for the wait. To make a long story short it did not. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing but we ordered the fried shrimp and it was very greasy and we only got about 7. To make matters worse the service was just downright TERRIBLE. Now the food was not that great but I can let that pass, but the service I will not leave out my opinions. The maitr'd was quite abrupt and unfriendly. Our waitress was the worst of all. She kept forgetting orders, she got our orders mixed up multiple times, and she forgot an order of gumbo that was ordered for an appetizer but by the time it got to us it could be a dessert. My honest opinion on this place is yes it is good and has some character, but they don't seem to handle crowds that well. I think Gordon Ramsey should visit this place because 1. LONG WAITS 2. BAD SERVICE 3. MEDIOCRE FOOD. This place might be able to survive here in Gulf Shores, but anywhere else its a no go sorry.

I live here and love it too but this place needs to be shut down. The red potatoes had rotten spots visibly on them. Then to top it off we waited forever. My father in law left his phone on his chair. Within minutes he went back to get it and it had mysteriously disapeared. I could go on and on but just don't do it.
