we miss the all you could eat crab legs. we were there every week but i quess the cost was too great so they stopped having them. they were sooo good. hope they will be able have them back again sometime. also a great place to take the family.we live in crestview and gas prices stop us from coming as often as we would like to.
Just got home from Country Folks and really enjoyed it. We live in Crestview, FL and saw Country Folks on one of our day trips. Tonight (Fri) was all-you-can-eat seafood and it was surprisingly delicious. On the buffet, was all the standard sides, along with frog legs, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, catfish, trout, hush puppies and stuffed crab. All for only $9.99. For an extra $3.50 a cluster, you can get crab legs. I got two clusters and they were as good as anything you can get in Destin. I have already called several friends and recommend they visit. Almost forgot...drinks and dessert are included in the $9.99.
Since the middle of the summer, they have raised their prices considerably. They don't offer menus anymore, so you must eat from the buffet. I think they are a rip-off. They smile and are cordial, but behind the scenes they are laughing all the way to the bank. People in Florala can hardly afford to eat there. It seems the only business they get are the passers-through.
We have driven up from Florida several times for either the Friday or Saturday Night Seafood Buffet. It was wonderful. I also love their blueberry dessert. I think the price per person was $14.99 before taxes and including the drink. It is worth the drive.
IT NEEDS MORE WORK THE NEW BUILDING IS VERY NICE. BUT, WHEN IT WAS IN THE SMALLER BUILDING IT WAS MUCH MORE HOMEY. THE EMPLOYEES INTERACTED WITH THE CUSTOMERS AND MADE YOU FEEL WELCOME. MADE YOU WANT TO COME BACK. BUT, NOW WELL NOT THE SAME. THE FOOD IS OK. AND THERE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH ROOM FOR EVERYONE.
Yes, I was born and raised in Florala..The highlight of going back home, is the joy of meeting up with our family and friends and enjoying some good ole soul food at the Country Folks Buffett..I live in La. now..the Cajun food is hard to beat..but I will have to say CFB will give our cooks a run for their life. You all keep the food up there to the five STAR Buffett and we'll be back..My Dad was the Chief of Police when we were growing up..He had six children..and I was third from the oldest...My older brother loves there now..Retired from the military...Who am I ??? take a guess...OHMB
This place may be well off the beaten path for most folks. But, it's only about 20 minutes from where our new home is. On Fridays and Saturdays they have a seafood buffett that is more than worth the price!! $14.99 a person includes drink and dessert. And for those that are seafood lovers....crab legs!!! It's one of the few places that actually use seasonings when they boil the seafood so the flavor is there. Just remember if you go and overeat, there are no restrooms close between here and there!!! lol Although the buffett is wonderful I understand you can order off the menu and the steak at the table next to use looked great (although the crab looked better!).
