We have taken trips to Gulf Shores for years but had never eaten at King Neptunes. A friend told me we should try it. She was right! There were six of us and everyone's food was delicious. It was so good my 10 year old wanted to eat there for lunch the next day. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable, especially considering the amount of food you receive. The lunch prices can't be beat. Go early for dinner. After 6:30 it was a long wait. Don't go expecting anything fancy on the inside - but the food more than makes up for it!
My husband and I ate here July 4, 2006. We stayed in Gulf Shores that whole week and we tried a different restaurant each day. The food at King Neptunes was the best of all. The prices can not be beaten.
We went for dinner. The portions were perfect. The staff was very nice. The seafood is the best I have had. I would recomend this place to everyone who goes to the Gulf shores area.If you dont go you are missing it.
My daughter and I ate late Friday night. She had never been there before so she ate grilled yellow fin tuna. I had eaten many times before I ate shrimp po boy. My daughter asked for a bite of my po boy. The next night I asked where she wanted to eat she said Kink Neptunes. We both had the shrimp po boy. I have eaten all over the world. I have also eaten in New orleans several times where the PO boys are advertised as the best. The ads are wrong, Kink neptune's Shrimp Po Boy is the best in the world!!!!
Great local Seafood joint. I had the combination plate with Grilled shrimp, coconut shrimp, and grilled tuna with stir fry veg. It was all excellent!!!!
My wife had fried shrimp and fried crab fingers, Very Delicous!!! I highly recommend this place!!
My girlfriend and I went to Gulf Shores for a friend's wedding and ate at a few restaurants down there. Among those were Original Oyster House, Cottons, and Live Bait. I was sad to see that the Spot had been blown away by Katrina. All of these were great restaurants as always, but King Neptune's Seafood was clearly the best. A small hole in the wall on the way out of Gulf Shores on HWY 59, serves all kinds of food but the Shrimp and Oysters are wonderful. If the owner would spruce the place up or move the restaurant to a larger and nicer building He could charge 100.00 a meal for 2 and people would pack the place every night. But still it is cozy the way he has it. We will most definatly go back!
