Desoto's Seafood Kitchen, Gulf Shores

Our party of 8 dinned in last night and the food was outstanding. The hostess made room for us right away. The variety on the menu along with the awesome service from Kendric made our night out with the kids (ages 6-13) enjoyable after a long day shopping. The bartender was very accommodating by making dessert drinks that he hasn t heard of before-Wisconsin favorites. A great night-we will be back.

The worse place I ever been. My wife ordered a Carribean jerk platter, when she took a bite the salt was horrible it was as if someone dumped the hole box on it, she asked me to try it my response was the same. I told the waitress and she got the owner (I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE OWNERS RESPONSE) When I told the owner my wifes food was too salty her response was that dish is one of our best in the house everyone has different taste. YOU MIGHT WANT TO ASK FOR LIGHT ON THE SALT AND YOU MIGHT BE SALT SENSITIVE. ((((WHAT!!!!!)))) You would expect the response to be I'm sorry we will make you another. This Owner is the worst and in my opinion the only reason people go there is there is not enough competion any restaurant in Lafayette La would smoke this place they would not make it anywheres else.

Pretty good little place for a country-style fried seafood meal. Very quaint atmosphere. I've had better, but I've much worse, too. I'd eat here again.

Desotos is as always one of the best restaurants on the Alabama Gulf Coast. Great staff, great food and of course great prices..............!!

i was there last summer and the food was amazing i was wanting to come back this summer but i had to work and i have football practice all summer but again the food was amazing

my mother and i both work in orange beach alabama so we often go out for lunch this is one of our favorite places to go..it has a ma and pop feel to it...the food is good.. not high class seafood but a great place for lunch! try the crab claws they are to DIE for!

Worst food we had our whole trip. They dont seem to care about their quality. Wont go back.

had a late lunch with the wife and kids. Service was good but everything we ordered ranged from overcooked to burned. Children could not finish their meals. my Crab cake po boy was burned and not prepared with any pride. My wife was charged $12 for six tiny grilled shrimp on a bed of rice that must have been left over from the early lunch crowd. The entire restaurant reeked of sewage. I would not recommend Desotos to anyone who is on vacation looking for good seafood. I can prepare better food in my downstairs bar kitchen at home.
