My family and I were in Montgomery for a long weekend get-a-way. We used to live there and were back for a visit and boy, how it has changed. We ate at Sinclair's in Cloverdale on Sunday evening. By far it was the best service and food that we got while we were in the city. From the minute we walked in the door they catered to our every need. Make sure you order the banana's Sinclair....it's to die for. The atmosphere is nice as well (although it was a little loud.) Everything on the menu looked great. The server reccommended the Spaghetti Pie.....it was out of this world. I will be going back to this restaurant every time I go to Montgomery.
When some of my friends found out I had never been to Sinclair's, they almost had a stroke. I came in, naturally, expecting to be blown away. Well Sinclair's definitely lived up to the hype surrounding it in Montgomery. The food was great, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I don't know how the restaurants are on Fairview or at the lake, but I will be going back to Sinclair's on Vaughn Road again soon.
My wife and I needed to find a place to hold a rehersal dinner for our sons wedding, but being from Mount Dora, Florida we didn't know where to begin. We did know where to stop however and that was at Sinclairs. The staff that handled the dinner (John and Sam), took care of a room full of people as if each person were the only one there. The food served that evening was great and relatives are still telling me how much they enjoyed it. My wife and I intend to go to Sinclairs whenever we are back in town. I would suggest and recommend Sinclairs highly for either a afternoon lunch or a large reception.
Friends were always telling me that I needed to try Sinclairs because it is a local legend. I tried it. I think the legend is larger than reality.
Sure, the food was OK and the service approached average. It should be noted that the decor is above average, but so are the prices at Sinclairs.
I love eating at local places instead of the big, cookie-cutter, homogenized chains. Well, most of the time I'll pick the locals over the out-of-towners. Next time I start thinking about going back to Sinclairs, I think I'll settle for a Bloomin’ Onion instead.
The food was excellent with plenty of choices.
Price is moderate.

This is a great place to go, whether on a date or a night out with the family. They have a wonderful salad bar and buffet. Steaks, seafood and sandwiches are all on the menu. I give Sinclair's East a thumbs up.
This is probably the worst restaurant I have been to in Montgomery. We took out of town guests here to have dinner since everyone told us it was great. I totally disagree. We were seated at a table that was so wobbly, you couldn't even begin to cut a steak on without spilling drinks. Condiments were not offered with the meal and when you asked for them, they never brough them. The waitresses did not have any idea of what kinds of beers they had. I was very, very disappointed in the overall service and attitudes of the employees of this local establishment.
