Tonight I waited over 30 minutes to be seated, we had called ahead to ask for a table for 12, and we saw other groups coming up and they were getting seated but we weren´t, I went to the manager and told him we would not be 12 but maybe 10, and he got upset, so I told him we could go somewhere else. I did not want to upset my friend , who wanted to celebrate her birthday there, so I just patiently waited 10 minutes more.
Finally we were set, we asked for appetizers and drinks and the took for ever to take our order, it was already 7:30 and we had arrived at 6:00 we wanted to order and they just wanted to push more drinks, if we wanted to drink we would have gone to a bar! Finally they took our order and they took for ever to bring the food to the table. I had to ask the waiter to remove the empty plates from the appetizers, the table looked messy and we all were not happy because we waited for over an hour and thirty minutes.
When he left, we told the manager that we were upset and that Carrabas was a chain restaurant with certain standards, he blamed us for the delays saying that we had less people than the one we had called in advance (they do not accept reservations). He did not apologize, he became aggressive and went back to the restaurant and yelled WHATEVER!
We are a group of 19 professionals staying at a nearby hotel, most of us go there at least once a week, but after this we would NEVER go back!
