Dad's Bar-B-Q, Anniston

About 1 1/2 months ago myself and 2 friends stopped there to eat lunch. It was very busy and was packed. We were immediately seated and the waitress took our drink order. She was back pronto with our drinks then took our food order and it was back before we could drinks 2 sips from our glasses. We were very impressed with the service and food. This past Sunday, Nov. 6, I took my wife and another couple on the 1 hour 15 trip to get some good food. We arrived about 1:00 p.m. It was not very busy then so we were seated and the waitress took our drink order then immediately returned with our drinks and took our food order. I told my wife and guests we would not drink but about 2 sips of tea before our food arrived. WRONG!!! We never saw our waitress again until she brought our food 30 minutes late. I told her I was getting concerned since other people with other waitresses had already gotten their food that came in 15 minutes after we did. She said she was getting concerned also. We had already finished our tea. She sat our food down and asked if I wanted ranch dressing for my fried green tomatoes. I said yes. She didn't ask if we wanted a refill for our drinks. After we had all finished eating, she came over and laid the ranch dressing on the table and left again. We were already finished. We sat there about 15 minutes talking then got up to pay and leave when she came and asked if we wanted a refill!! This was very, very poor service and I was very much embarrassed in front of my wife and guest. I should have requested to speak to the owner, but didn't want to with my guests around.

If you love dry rub ribs, you will love Dad's ribs. They are the best in Eastern Alabama.

I love their smoked chicken salad. The fries aren't as good as they once were but hey...they are french fries, I can live without fries. Sweet tea is great too!

I love Dad's BBQ! Great smoked pork and ribs; and awesome sauce. While you're there, make sure to try the homemade strawberry and peanut butter pie. Great food at a great price.

Went here again on a recent visit -- they have some of the best BBQ around! It's slow-cooked, tender and delicious, just the way it should be.

THEY ARE THE ONLY PLACE IN ANNISTON THAT HAS GOOD FOOD. I LOVE IT ...
