Martin's Restaurant, Montgomery

I have been going to Martin's with my mother and grandmother before that for over 35 yrs, Im only 42. It leaves awarm spot in my heart. The servers seem to of neeb there forever and this is a true Montgomery throw back. All this and the food is better. Fried chicken, Turkey and dressing , veggies made on the spot and the BEST HOMEADE PIE in the entire south...bar none. Thats the way I see it, Im driving to Montgomery tomorrow, just to take my mother to lunch.

I've eaten at alot of so-called southern home cooking restaurant. Martins Restaurant in Montgomery Alabama can claim this title and stand alone. This meal of 1 meat and 3 veggies will knock your socks off. not only is the food excellent but the plates are loaded with food. Reminds me of eating at grandmas house with fresh home grown veggies from her garden. Great Job Martins wish you were in the Atlanta area. But anytime I'm in Montgormery Al. you will see me there.

We're at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, traveled from Geneva Alabama, had lunch at Martin's today. That was one of the finest restaurant meals I've ever had ANYWHERE, and I 've traveled all over the world and at of some very finest restaurants. Very much worth the 2 hour drive just to eat here. Had fried chicken, cornbread dressing, paradise salad, blackeyed peas. mash potatoes and excellent chicken gravy. Just superb all the way around. Very, very memorable meal.

If you miss Big Mama's Cooking then Martins is the place to go...:-)

Just like Sunday dinner at grandma's. Excellent serivce and reasonable prices. Will never leave hungry.

Martin's has the best southern food I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The plates are loaded with food. The fried chicken and cornbread are awesome. The service is excellent. My glass of tea was never less than half full before it was refilled. Five stars.

Great tasting, but not the best on the waistline. Enjoy in moderation!

I lived in the local neighborhood for four years before I ever went to Martin's now I don't know why. This place is awesome. Everytime my parents come to town they have to eat there. The food is some of the best southern cooking I've ever had and the baked chicken is just the best.

It was like eating a home cooked meal at my Granny's. In my realm that is the best compliment anyone can receive. The chicken was superb. The corn muffins were better than imagined. Sweet teas was also perfect and that is hard to find when you eat out.
