I have visited here twice now, both times for lunch, while im in town for training and was fairly pleased overall. the buffet had a large selection of food and the lunch price is very reasonable at $6.
The service was fast and they were able to accomidate our groups of 12 & 16 easily in the middle of the lunch rush with no wait.
the food itself was ofcourse not top of the line, it is a buffett after all, but everything i tried was good, hot and fly free. i didnt notice the health score though...not that observent i guess. in any case i wont hesitate to go again!
My family and I were in Buffet City today celebrating my brother-in-law grandmothers birthday. Apparently we got there close to the start of the dinner menu being that the waitress came to the table in the middle of our meal indicating if we went back to the bar we would be charged the dinner prices. It was not very consequential to us being that we had eaten and had gotten to opening her presents. The waitress came back asking are you leaving. We responded shortly. Sat there a little longer and she came back. We were there approximately 1 hour but apparently in the way of her breaking down the tables to prepare for the next meal. I found the waitress to be extremely rude and as this 94 year old lady was rising from the table the waitress was practically pushing her aside to clear the table. Buffet City leadership apparently missed out on the customer service training as their staff is clueless. She (grandmother) enjoys going to this restaurant and has celebrated her birthday there for the past 3 years. Needless to say we will never spend another penny there. Perhaps this is the reason the place was practically empty today which was a change from the norm.
This is a pretty good buffet. They serve crab legs on the buffet, although they ration them by bringing them out only once or twice an hour. The Mongolian BBQ is cooked to order, it's pretty tasty. I liked the sushi, although sometimes the avacado looks a bit brown if they aren't busy. We eat here regularly and even brought out of town guests for dinner. TONS OF OPTIONS! There is something for everyone!
Its a pretty good place for the price. Huge selection of food from Sushi to BBQ stuff. They tend to shut off the food warmer an hour before closing. Don't go right before closing if you want good food. I don't have a problem since I go at 6, 7PM. Sushi guy doesn't know any english I think. And he talks VERY loud. They should really get rid of him since he's giving the restaurant a bad rap. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for him.
THe food was cold and the service was terrible. It was gloomy and they said that they would serve hot food, but brought out reheated cold food again. It was terrible there was even a fly in the rice, I told the manager that I didnt want to pay pay for something I didnt eat, she said that we changed out the food. But who wants to eat food with flies in it! Take my advice, don;t eat there. They also have a grade of a B-.
This is a good choice in my opinion. It was clean, well stocked and tasty, and they had soooo many choices I could probably go with someone who doesnt even like Chinese! As far as buffets go, this one is a good choice and I will go back.
