Have eaten at your location many times and loved it. Ate there again tonight but
was very disappointed in the change of the taste of the slaw. Rest of my food was
excellent as well as the service. Please go back to the original slaw. It is delicious
and I looked forward to it each visit.
We visited Top O the River on October 8, 2011. There were 41 people in our group. All our orders came out at the same time and were all hot. Everything was delishious. Not one person said anything wrong about the meal. Do yourself a favor and go.
My family and I had the pleasure of visiting the Gadsden location for an anniversay dinner for my husband and I. Our server, Cassie, was excellent! The cornbread was good and the cole slaw was even better. Reminded me of the cole slaw my late father used to make!!
My husband and I shared the Seafood Platter and there was so much food on it that we ended up taking half of it home. Of course this was after the cornbread, cole slaw and an appitizer of fired dill pickles (they were o.k.) and onion rings (the largest I had ever seen).
Except for the long drive (from Birmingham, it took an hour both ways), I truly enjoyed our dinner and it helped my husband and I keep our anniversay tradition of seafood on the water!
Excellent food. The catfish, coleslaw, turnip greens and cornbread were awesome! Our meal was fresh and hot. We had wonderful service and received our food in a very timely manner. The staff was very nice also. Can't wait to make another trip there to eat.
Coleslaw, fried pickles, greens, pickled onions, cornbread are delicious. Catfish is not that good, for the best catfish, go across the street to Pruetts. I don't care for seafood but my family does, so my choices are very limited. I wish they would add some other selections to the menu other than catfish and fried chicken or grilled chicken. Really expected more from this place. Do not order a chef salad, they do not know what one is--iceburg lettuce, tomatoe, imitation bacon bits is what I got. Also, restrauant is not that clean, could really use a good cleaning. Stick to Red Lobster or Pruetts. Service not that good either.
We look forward to going back the same time every year when my husband and family travel to Gadsden for him to race at the boat races

We enjoy the atmosphere and especially the terrific seafood. Wish we had a place back in Wisconsin that would even come close. Just have to wait till next year again when we look forward to coming back and eating there again. The catfish is like nothing we ever tasted before. Actually, I could eat it like candy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is the best!!!! Can't wait to go back. Won't come soon enough for us. Thanks, Cindy Peroceschi
This is a great place to eat. A group of us come from Atlanta, GA and we have a great time. The food is excellent. Cornbread, fried pickles, cole slaw was m-m-m-m-m-good. I just can't say enough. Our pastor loved it. The service was excellent and fast, the staff was very friendly. Also the price was not bad for the amount of food you are served. Our over all visit was a five star.
