I went here today with my husband and son who is 10. I was very disappointed. First of all they do not have anything for children to eat except a adult's plate.(this is too much for my child) Their choices for children were honey chicken and plain noodles with lo mein sauce. This was unacceptable to me. Second of all my husbands hot and sour soup was cold and to me it was much too heavy compared to other hot and sour soups I have eaten. Third it took way too long to get our food.(even though I was supposed to get dessert with my meal I skipped it because by the time I got my entree I just wanted to leave. Fourth reason is the servers were not very friendly even the manager. We tried to explain to her why we were leaving without eating dessert and why my hubbie refused to eat anything after the soup fiasco. We told her that we expected them to have something for kids. More choices I said. She said well we do have noodles with lo mein sauce. My son looked at her like what is that. He had to have honey chicken which is what I had also which came covered with stryofoam noodles or something. The rice was sticky and the brown rice was not brown rice. I've had brown rice it just looked like colored white rice to me. I'll never go back here for a fancy place I expected better!! Much better!! My litle hole in the wall chinese restaraunt has much better food than this!! For supper we ate Jim and Nicks which had choices for my son, the food was delicious, and the service was very fast. To me this restarant caters to couples without children and to me you should never exclude children. That right there ticked me off royally. I originally went here because I had heard great things about this restaurant on the radio well it wasn't all that.
Beautiful atmosphere, good food, good service...Definitely in my top 3 favorite Chinese places. That being said...the food is VERY pricey, and you don't get very much food.
If you do go try the lettuce wraps. They are amazing. The egg rolls are good as well. The crispy honey chicken is delicious.
The first time I went to PF Chang's was out of curiosity. The terra-cotta theme spoke to me. Though often busy, this restaurant has many typical dishes with slightly different sauces than you may be used to. I recently went there and ordered the chicken fried rice; it was definitely above-average, as was their soy sauce mixture.
As soon as you get inside the restaurant you notice that this place is very attractive and cozy place to have dinner with loved one. Food is just delicious and it is not like any typical chinese restaurant you see in every streer corner. It is one of a kind and it is the place everyone has to try. I go there every few weeks and take every guest who comes to visit me. I wish I could afford more frequent visits. Mangolian beef is my favorite. For dessert, you have to try banana split.
Located downtown near the University of Alabama Birmingham and its medical center, the Fish Market is the cheapest and possibly
the best seafood restaurant in Birmingham. The owners are from Greece, so the self service dining area is decorated ...
