WOW! Delicious, REAL Italian food. Nothing pre-packaged here. Feels like you stepped into a bistro in Sicily. This is a family owned and operated restaurant, which I like. The food is delicious and very fresh. We recently went in and I had the penne vodka pasta dish and a kiwi and fruit on greens type of salad. All of it was outstanding. The salad dressing is the best thing I have ever eaten on a salad. It was sweet and tangy and heavenly all at once. DH had a specialty fish of the night, snapper buttanesca, which he loved, loved, loved. I have dined here in the past and eaten the shrimp and it was very fresh. My office has ordered the pizza several times, which is a little more expensive than the chains, but it is so worth it. It is to die for!! Everything tastes authentic, which is hard to find these days. The wait time was reasonable on our recent visit despite it being busy. The interior is small and cozy without feeling cramped. Very informative staff. They all look professional and clean cut and fresh. This is a great atmosphere for a romantic dinner. The decorations on the walls are classy art pieces and a few family photos of the owners' grandkids. I recommend making a reservation if you go on a Friday or Saturday night because they are usually really busy. You need to go - your taste buds will thank you.

fantastic food, friendly faces, consistantly superior service. This is the best restraunt you've never heard of. The seafood is always cooked to perfection, never overcooked. The staff knows their wine list well and will match the vintage to your meal, and the specials are always fantastic. I won't eat italian anywhere else!

Me and my husband were driving around and couldnt decide on anything or anywhere we should eat (this is a typical conversation) so we decide we would go somewhere that neither of us had ever been, Bongiorno's appeared and we both agreed to give it a shot!! Boy we were surprised the service was great and the food was awesome!! Great Job guys

I can't tell you how many times we've given this restaurant a chance but every time we come away disappointed. The food is decent but the service is usually lacking. But what gripes me is how they bring a hot (tasteless) little loaf of bread to your table and then pour up a small plate of the THE most tasteless olive oil ever made. Hardly worth the calories except that you're starving because the service is so slow so you eat it and and then ask why? My opinion would improve drastically if they would invest in some olive oil with a nice extra virgin, fruity taste and pump up the service a bit.

This restaurant has lots to offer from a night out of town for 2 or just the family. The atmosphere is comfort and lively! The food is great from pizza to other fancier entrees, and they even have a great selection of wines! Located in Mountain Brook, it's a great place to have dinner then take a little walk around the the area.

This is real Italian food, not pre-packaged like the chains. Great food, good atmosphere - this was a great experience for our anniversary, and afterwards we enjoyed strolling up and down the quaint streets. We thought it was a great value, although pricer than Olive Garden. But I guarantee you that more time/care went into preparing it than at Olive Garden, so it was worth it to us! I would recommend this to someone who wants authentic Italian food in a relaxed atmosphere. Do call for directions, though, as Mountain Brook has winding, hilly roads. The staff were happy to give good directions.
