Surin West, Birmingham

The food is subpar, and the wait staff is horrible. The host/hostess could be a bit more polite when greeting the door, instead you get an attitude with them if you aren't happy with the seating. My favorite thing on the menu is the Spicy Garlic Scallops, and the Nom Tok Beef. Though these dishes are a bit over priced they are still delicious. The sushi is cheap for it's quality but still not that great. Management there is a minus, considering I waited 15 mins to speak with a manager about our service. Overall, I give this restaurant a 3 out of 5 stars.

If you are looking for something casual but different, then let me suggest Surin West. The Spicy Coconut soup is amazing. If you like spicy food, anything with the curry sauce is what you are looking for.

Great service and awesome sushi!!! So much better than Surin 280!!!

Surin West is by far one of my favorite restaurants! The sushi there is awesome, I sometimes eat it 2/3 times a week! The service is typically very friendly! The entrees are also very good, authentic Thai food.

If you are in the mood for Thai food, Surin is the place to go! The staff is very friendly and I have never waited very long to be seated. It is located in five points beside the Jim N Nicks. I was never a big sushi eater till I started eating there. For those who are not big Thai food lovers, the barbecue chicken is an all time favorite. Don't forget to try the spicy coconut soup! I always tell my friends you have not experienced Birmingham or UAB until you go to Surin!

I was introduced to sushi here and have been hooked ever since. The Super Crunch is to die for and so is the coconut soup, oh and the lamb chops, and don't forget to leave room for a seven layer bar for dessert. Great atmosphere, plenty of room for everyone, so there's never a wait, well, hardly ever. But if there is, it's worth it!

delicious there's one out on 280 also this is where i come for sushi and you can't ask for a better place to get it! if you come for lunch and get sushi you get the coconut soup complementary, which is out of this world

This restarant was great. Pomegranate Martini and Yumi Yaki was the Best. I ordered Wings of an Angel and it was yummy. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the wait staff was very nice and Cute....

This is one of my favorite resturants, ever. The staff is always nice, the food is amazing. I go there a lot when I'm home from college.

This was my first trip to a Thaii restaurant, but I wasn't too impressed by the door. It was just plastic shreds hanging up. To me, that looks like it would allow flies and other bugs and rodents in. The food was great and so was the service. It is a definite go back though.
