Fife's Restaurant, Birmingham

I thought this was the place to go for lunch. Been eating there for years and loving it. Just found out about breakfast...every bit as good and just wonderful. You could not go wrong with Fife's.

Very impressed with this place! Food was outstanding and the people working there were just busy, but really nice. I use to see this years ago at a lot of the nice restaurants in town and it felt nice to be so relaxed in this atmosphere. This is like something from the past. Have eaten here once a week since finding it and hope to continue! The breakfast is BIG and all made right then. You will have to wait on most Saturday mornings because they will be packed...but wait for it..it will be worth it.

In my opinion, you will not find better food for the price anywhere in Birmingham....or the state for that matter. I travel a lot and I always find time to get to this restaurant. Same people that work there year after year. I like that since it shows that these people are stable and cook the same all the time. No surprises that I have ever come across....just delicious food...and large portions. Be ready to take some home because you probably will not be able to eat all of it. Just as good warmed up that night for dinner. Take my word for it.

Great food...I love the cabbage and Mac and Cheese!!!

Was very shocked. We chose to eat here after reading the reviews. It was served cafeteria style. Enough food served to you, for w meals. Great southern style food. Loved the fried corn, peas and corn bread. Awesome food. Waitress was very nice and on her toes. Highly recommend this restaurant. Don't let the outside look fool you. It is a great place to eat!!!

Yum! I can not describe how really good and delicious the food is here. It is not fancy, but the food is the best I have ever tasted in restaurants. We travel each week to eat here and we've been retired three years from working the downtown area. It is that good. Sometimes super busy, but the food is definitely worth waiting for. The price is fantastic for all that you get. We always take some home!

I have eaten at Fife's Restaurant for the past 30 years. Excellent home style cooking.If you are tired of fancy places that require a dress code, then this is the place for you!

Enjoyed the whole time I was there. Very nice people and the food was so good. I will go back soon. Saw buses coming in with people from a convention. Loud, but the noise is not a problem and the food really tastes like one would cook at home. Has no place for internet, but if you come for the food, it is worth it!

I have fond memories of eating here as a little girl. I truly recommend eating here for breakfast.
