A truly memorable dining experience
We were looking for a place to eat after a show at the Lyric, and kind of stumbled onto this place. It was a little richer than we were looking for, but the menu sounded good and we were hungry. I am so glad we decided to go ahead and splurge. The interior is comfortable yet graceful, with a clean understated atmosphere. Our server was from Sorrento, Italy, and although he said his English was not good, we had no trouble at all communicating. We started with a Frito Misto appetizer, which came with shrimp, squid and zucchini lightly coated and deep fried with a marinara sauce on the side. It was tender and crisp, and not a bit greasy. My companion had the risotto with seafood, and I ordered the special; Chilean sea bass in a light wine and butter sauce. The risotto was rich and creamy, with whole shrimp, clams, mussels and squid. The sea bass was truly excellent; perfectly cooked, and the sauce made it meltingly delicious. We split a bottle of Pinot Grigio, which was served in a ice bucket to keep it nicely chilled throughout the meal. Our check, with tax and tip, was about 120. I will definately go back again, and bring out-of-town guests here when appropriate.
