I think the people that wrote bad comments are just crazy. I have been eating at Peter's Steak house for many many years. I also had a rehearsal dinner there for 65 people and no one could stop talking about it. Peter takes great pride in what he does and I'm sure if someone is not happy he would take care of the situation with out fanfare. I have enjoyed many wonderful dinners there with family and friends and I don't know anyone who has not enjoyed their meal. Hope this helps you make up your mind. I'm a fan!
What a waste of my hard earned money , The Steak wasnt that great , kinda dry ! thank god for salt . All and all it cost me over $70 for a waitress with a attitude and a over priced meal , and when I questioned the fact that they added the tip right to my bill . ( An amount she didnt deserve ) she got pissed off and walked away mubbling something under her breath . Do yourself a favor and avoid this place and save your money , there are much better places to eat in the area !
Not only did they NOT acknowledge my reservation, they seated us at a table
that was much too high, higher then all the ones in the place.
My wife and I order Filet Mignon - TERRIBLE - horrible - IT WAS DRY
For less money Longhorn gives you a better piece of meat..I know some have given Peters a rave review but we won't go back. Found the potatoes greasy the steak so so and the service lacking....there are much better places to go in our area than this!
Went with another couple 4/28/2010 ; I knew it would be expensive and that was OK. I asked for separate checks. No, we can't do that because we serve sides family style. The menu lists the price for sides for two- I don't want to pay part of the other couples dinner bill; just mine. Finally I offered to sit at another table to get a separtate check and they relented. They acted like I was a pain in the ass for asking for a separate check. My bill was $165 for 2 filet, side of asparagus, steak tartar , cheesecake , bottle of wine and coffee.
It wasw good, but not outstanding. I will go back but never with another couple.
My wife and I had dinner at Peters Steak house last night and we were both very disappointed. The staff needs some help with their people skills, starting with the receptionist who when asked if we could have the empty table against the wall simply said no with no explanation to the waitress who kept trying to remove our plates before we were finished eating. I ordered the ribeye medium rare and my wife ordered the filet mignon medium rare. Both steaks came out a cooked a little more than we would have liked but we did not send them back. The ribeye was sliced off the bone and was not what I would call a prime cut of beef. The filet mignon my wife ordered was not as tender as we have come to expect from a fine steakhouse, especially at this price level.
We have had better steaks at restaurants that do not claim to have the best steaks on the planet and charged a lot less. We would not recommend this restaurant to any of our friends and obviously would never go back.
I had the disatisfaction of having dinner at Peter's Steak House this evening. I'd have to say I read the prior comment before going and SHOULD HAVE listened. The service was OK, nothing special. I then made the mistake of ordering the steak for 2 which is really just a large steak for one. The steak came cut and already off the bone. The best thing about the steak was how tender it was. Other that that it had absolutely NO taste. For the first time i had to use the steak sauce. I DO NOT use steak sauce since i enjoy the taste of a good steak. If you want a good steak PLEASE go to a local chain restaurant IT WILL BE BETTER. These people have no clue what a real steak tastes like. I would say i wasted good money for a very bad meal. Oh yeah they actually even screwed up the asparagus. Don't waste your money on this restaurant.
I traveled all over the US and have been in many of the best steak houses from California, Chicago to Kansas to South Florida and all the best in New York. If you do not find that Peter's is the Best of the Best, you do not know what steak is all about. Located in little Jensen Beach, next to 11 Mable Street (another great eatery), you will not eat a better steak in the United States than Peter's. Peter's in Brooklyn is as good, but the one in Jensen Beach is in a class by itself. A bit pricey but worth the $$$$.
