We continue to dine at Lakis Restaurant because the ingredients in their food are always fresh and very good quality. Today, we had our usual Tzatziki appetizer, followed by my Souvalaki pork gyro platter and my husband s usual gyro platter, made from traditional meats. Every time In the past five years that we have dined at Lakis, we have always had good service and very good food. It s worth the 15 mile drive. We are never rushed when we dine there, and the music from Zorba the Greek always makes the dining experience so pleasurable. It s tucked away in a small strip mall, which is good because we wouldn t want everyone to discover it and make it too crowded!
Affter waiting about 5 minutes, and we were the only 2 in the place DURING lunch hour, we were coldly confonted by the hostess, who said yes, they are still open.... we were seated and waited about 15 minutes for menus, while the hostess and other staff members walked past the table constantly.... we left. Not sure what the problem was, but the staff are horrible. Not giving this place a 2nd chance....ever.
Recently visited Laki's and the food was great. I got a sampler's plate with spinach pies, cheese pies, and grape leaves. It was wonderful. The greek salad could be better. The staff was friendly and prompt. The menu has a big variety as well.
I'm surprized no one has reviewed on this place yet. I love Laki's. They have great food. The service is a little slow sometimes, but other than that, it's excellent. They have a good greek salad and the prices are pretty decent too.
