Charlie Horse Rstrnt & Lounge, Ocala

i recently visited this restaurant and found the food, service and atmosphere to be outstanding. all this for a very reasonable price. kudo's to the charlie horse staff.

Great place to hang with friends. The service outside sucks, though. I ordered a tea, gave the waitress a $5 bill and never saw her again. Whatever. Inside bar is better. Especially if the lovely June is there. Never leaves you dry, (except for the tears). Classiest girl in the place. Love you June!!

Went there for the second time in the last five years on 7/31/10. My wife got a rib eye steak dinner. The dinner does not come with a salad or dinner rolls or bread. The steak was thin and chewy. I had a basket of six wings and steak fries. Worst wings I've ever had. They were over cooked, dry and had not a hint of medium wing sauce that was ordered. I asked the waitress if there was any sauce at all on them, she said there was and offered to get me some sauce for the side. She did and the sauce she brought was tasteless, it tasted like butter with nothing in it. When I complained to the waitress about the wings all she could say was they have been getting a lot of complaints about the wings lately and that even her mother told her how bad they were. She also said the owner has been trying to save money by making his own sauces. No offer was made by the waitress to compensate for the crappy wings and I threw 3 of the six away. The steak fries were OK. We had draft beers, the beer was warm and was over $2.00 a draft. I then got a bottle of Yuengling , that was cold but cost $3.50. I thought I was in an airport or cruise ship to be charge that much for a domestic beer. All in all I would give this joint a score of 0 out of 10, we only ended up here because our favorite place (Terry's on NE 36th Ave just north of Ocala city limits) was closed for vacation). If you want good food at fair prices do not go to Charlie Horse, go to Terry's.

i was charged $5.49 for an additional baked potato and my meal of 1 roasted chicken breast, salad, and baked potato costs $8.99......breaking it down, the chicken and salad costs $3.50 and the potato costs $5.49.....i wouldn't recommend this place

This place has marginal food,marginal service, not such a great value either. Been there maybe 4X, always hoping for better, no such luck.
