The server came to the table and told me the special was red fish. I asked what kind of red fish as there are several species of red fish and she said it was red fish that tasted good and was a buttery white meat. Then I inquired about a shrimp dish and she asking her what the difference between the mate and the skipper was and.she asked me what I meant. So I said is it a difference in portion size and she said yes I.asked what the portion sizes were she said.she didn't know it went by weight. So I asked that the weight of the portion was and she said 34 to 40 I said 34 to 40 what she said shrimp so finally being a former chef I figured out that I was getting a pound of shrimp. Which wasn't really what I got. She asked if I wanted my boiled shrimp hot or cold I said cold. It was room temp and looked like it had been boiled for 3 days I started to peel the slimy shrimp and tasted one. The shrimp was like chewing on a tire and you could taste how rotten it was. When the server came back I asked her to take the rotten shrimp away she took half of them away . Then 10 minutes later this kid came out and asked me what was wrong. I told him that the shrimp were bad he said what do you mean I responded they are bad rotten not edible unfit for human consumption he tasted the shrimp from my plate and there was nothing wrong . Another lie cause I spit all over the shrimp trying to get the rotten shrimp out of my mouth. And coughed up phlem in the napkin I put on top of the plate. Will never go here again.

Best darn seafood in Ocala. I asked for them to slightly undercook the salmon instead of overcook and they did it perfectly. All those Grizzly bears can't be wrong! Some people have said something about the place being plain but that doesn't change the taste, and I don't have to dress up. It's perfect for me!

The food is great, but the inside could use a little updating. Love going in there about once a week. Seeing friendly faces and eating good shrimp. Prices are great too.

Love it, Love it, Love it. Did I say I love it? This place is so good. My family and I go there often. They have the best clam strips in town. The service is so-so, but the food and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this place.

Let me say first, I love catfish. This place serves the best whole catfish I have eaten. To be able to sit there in comfortabl surroundings and enjoy a meal is wonderful. If you get down this way, stop by and you will see what I mean.
