Just OK! Previous reviews are right the place is in need of a good cleaning inside. The owner and his wife were very nice! The salad was wasn't very good tomatoes were bad and olives were flavorless not sure how that is possible. The pizza was just good not great like going to make me crave it.I wouldn't recommended but I can't say it will be my last time ordering because it is certainly better than all the chains pizza places in the area!
Got to the the food at this place. Prices are reasonable, food is made fresh not like these chains where it's brought in frozen. If it's crowded you may have to wait since its all fresh but IT IS WORTH THE WAIT.
We eat at Abios every week and have for over 17yrs. while the restaurant is what we will call seasoned (meaning not brand new) the food is great and the prices are also. While Al (the owner and cook) may look like Cuba's former President Castro, He not a communist, but he is a Seminole.
My wife and I had read good reviews calling it the best pizza in Ocala, so we decided to try the pizza on a recent shopping trip. To say that we were disappointed would be an understatement.
The restaurant was very dirty.
The salad bar looked unappetizing, to say the least.
The menu said that the pizza had lots of cheese, but ours appeared to be drowning in sauce. My wife got a calzone and was not impressed. I tried some and it had a funny taste.
If Abio's is truly the best pizza in Ocala, I feel sorry for the people of Ocala. While in Barnes & Noble, we asked an employee what was the best pizza in Ocala. He didn't mention Abio's, but did mention Cici's and Pizza Hut in the top three. Not a good sign.
We have lived in fl for 4 years now and had only found one good place for REAL pizza until now. This place is great... Not like all the tons of so-called pizza places.... We will be back for sure and hope others have a chance to try them..
Our family goes to Abio's once a week, we love the food and the people. Although I usually order the same thing every week, I've occasionally ordered other things off the menu and have not been disappointed! Al and Dave make you feel like family and we always look forward to our visit!
Our friends the Bauers love pizza and though my wife and I do have one once in a while it is not high on our food chain, except when we go to Abio's, the best in town. Well last night we tried the Calzone and it was out of this world, we split the large regular and had to bring two pieces home. A big thumbs up for Abio's!
