Taste of Philly Sub Shop, Crystal River

I LOVE THIS SHOP!!!! there has never been any problems with our service, or our food that we ordered. we LOVE the lil yellow house. we continue to go there and we always will... we have been faithful customers since she took over. if you Dont like their food then DONT go there.. your bad mouthing them inst hurting their business one bit. people from all over come there to get their subs. so one measly lil punk isn't hurting their business. If anything more people need to go there and get a taste of their food, they will absolutely love it.. my husband eats there all the time when he takes his lunch breaks... like I said your just one lil piss ant and you are not by far hurting their business..

The review from Liza D is false. This review appears on several other restaurant reviews, word for word, different dates. It is most likely written by the owner of a rival sub shop in Crystal River who used to own Taste of Philly. This person has been bad mouthing Ms. Downey since she bought the shop 6 years ago. I said it before and will say it again: The more you talk about a rival, the more the public will want to go there. I for one will never darked the door at the rival shop because of the owner' constant negative attitude. Is there better cheese steaks? I doubt it. Better steaks in Citrus County. Definitely NO.

How can anybody call what they make a real Philly Steak sub!! First of all, there is NO STEAK in their subs, it's a pile of greasy fried ground chuck mixed with a wee bit of peppers, onion and maybe 1 slice of cheese totally buried on the bottom of the mound of meat bits, which by the way were totally tasteless!! The only good thing about it was the nice fresh sub roll that it came in. We drove 45 minutes to go there and consider it a total waste of time and money. Good thing they weren't expensive but I could've made it at home for half the cost of course if all I wanted was a pile of loose hamburg. I can't imagine that Guy Fieri from Food Network went away from there thinking how great it was. Probably kept his comments to himself til after he was gone.
