Luna Ristorante, Venice

What has happened to Luna's? I ate lunch today & ordered pizza with 5 different cheeses. It was horrible! It was way overloaded with large pieces of Garlic & could barely eat even one piece. The waitress did not offer me to try something else. The waitress says Luna's can not make any allowances so was charged for the entire pizza. We use to be regular customers. Now, I will not go back. We had friends from out of town with us & they were surprised that a restaurant would not make any adjustments. Beware of high prices & if you are disappointed in what you ordered since they will not make it right. Luna's has lost another customer.

I have been going to this place for years. It always is good food and great service. I turn all my friends on to there food. A1+++

Good food and the help is very good. We had the pizza which was huge. I like a thin crisp crust, but these slices we so big I had to fold them. Best pizza I have found in Venice. Lava was very good also. I will go back the next time we are in the Venice area to try some pasta.

The food is good and you get lots of it. But the owners are very rude. Do not expect a pleasant experience if you have something wrong with your food. The owners argue with you and let you know that the customers do NOT know best.

I love Lunas! Delicious food, huge portions, eat outside by fountain if you want. It's great. Some of the wait staff sometime forgets about you, but it's worth it!

As stated earlier, you get plenty to eat. We ordered take out and ate for 3 days. I highly recommand this place but then again I am from the midwest.

Luna Ristorante, in downtown Venice, FL, has been one of my favorite restaurants to visit while on winter vacation. Generally, my wife and are are part of a party of at least six, so we make a reservation, as the dining room is busy and not large. Luna is an Italian restaurant, in case you were not aware of that. The dining room is at street level and decorated more as a sports pub than a traditional Italian place. Seating can be a bit tight if you are there when everyone else is, but the closeness is not a problem unless you just need lots of space. Dinner entrees are pretty much what one would expect at an Italian restaurant, but be aware that most entrees are meant to serve two adults. It is not unusal to have left-overs even after satisfying a good hunger. Though a pound of pasta looks like a lot and costs very little, the dishes are reasonable and well-prepared. The bread is better than average for Florida. If you plan to give the place a try, get there early or be prepared to wait a while for a table. I think that once you have been to Luna, you will want to put it on your short list of places to return to. Credit cards are not accepted, so bring USD.

We spend our winters in beautiful Venice, and Luna's is our family 'must dine place.' Serving sizes are huge, our group of six usually orders four entres and we take home half. The calzones are something to experience. Our servers have always been very professional and attentive.
