Sharky's on the Pier, Venice

The food is good. Location is outstanding! One of my favorite spots in the world...after a couple Mango Bangos!

Great food..Not overpriced...First off seafood is expensive, 13 jumbo deep fried for @13 bucks,Deep fried flounder.Staff funny sense of humor...I live in Chicago...and I will be back to Sharkeys....Best seafood I have ever had...Complainers go to Red Lobster

overpriced..you pay for the atmosphere..wait staff good...food average or less...shrimp were like rubber..and the manager said he knows they have a problem with them???? what the??? a beach seafood...who can not do peel and eat shrimp..refunded the meal but poor overall

have been in the kitchen and can tell you they have a serious roach and rat problem, the health inspector needs to see the kitchen while they are preping the next days food in big tubs on the floor with bare hands. or the fact that they have a horrible pigeon problem, and a leaky roof that drips into the kitchen. you do the math. yuck!

Eat on the deck outside and enjoy the view! The fish wrap is huge and delicious as are the french fries. Good bar scene outside as well. I have eaten here several times both inside and out and they do fresh blackened fish just wonderfully. From the salad, bread and side veggies with the dinners, you can't go wrong.

Been to Sharky's many times. Never happy with the food. The hotdog was overcooked/cold/small and $8.00. The Chicken Quesadilla was horrid tasting. Enchilada sauce doesn't belong on a quesadilla. The onion rings tasted spoiled. I could go on over and over, but the result will be the same. Not one item we have tried has tasted good. They are horribly expensive which I wouldn't mind if the portions were better and the food tasted good. The only reason we go now is for the Bushwackers. Even though the cup sizes went way down and the prices went up, we tend to go for 1 each or even a second one. If we have two drinks each, then our bill with tip is $35.00. The only problem I have now, is the other night we went and the drinks were watered down. I think now we may never return, but only for the pier and the beach.

We ate here about two weeks ago and were quite disappointed with the food for the first time. We received some sort email advertisement a while back stating they had a new chef. My complaint was that the food had absolutely no flavor. Clam chowder had too much flour in the cream, clams were over cooked, small, not very plentiful. Wife got the squid which also had no flavor even though they were fried. We ate there with another couple, they stated the same. Dessert, however was good as well as the service. And, you can't deny the perfect beach setting with the live music, sun setting, wind blowing. I really like this restaurant, hope they can do better with the food next time and make it worth the mid-high price.

Sharky’s On The Pier, when in Venice this is a a do not miss! If you live in Venice or around the area, get to Sharky's. Sunsets from the outside deck are beyond beautiful. Capture the atmosphere. The food is always good. The place gets hopping with live music at night. After dinner, take a walk out onto the fishing pier (the only big fishing pier around). It’s a great ending to a memorable night.

My husband and I vacation near Venice every year and always make time to go to Sharky's for dinner. It is nice to see the same staff every year, the food is fresh, place is clean and service is great! After 5 years of going there, I wouldn't recommend any other place to dine at!
