La Veranda at Divino, Sarasota

You should know that I might be a bit biased on account of the owners are friends of mine, so of course I'm going to give this 5 stars all around.
If you're really in the mood for Italian, but don't want the same old American Italian that every other restaurant in Sarasota serves, come in for a taste of the real Italy. You won't find a lot of cream sauces or chicken parmasean, but what you will find dances on the palatte and invigorates the senses. Their food is unique and very tasty. The best tomato, mozzerella, and basil appetizer I've ever had! And their wines are all (if not mostly) Italian...great selection, very wide range of prices, so take your pick. If you can't choose, just ask and they'll hook you up with the best one for what you've selected for dinner.
They serve lunch too!
