Ruth's Chris Steak House, Sarasota

I have eaten at Ruth s in 7 states...my experience here was terrible. My husband took me here for my 60th birthday. He called ahead for reservations and to advise of the birthday. We had great ambience and service until the steaks arrived. We ordered Medium Fillets, I got a rare sirloin fillet instead of the fillet mignon as pictured and advertised. My husband also got a lower quality steak.My original steak was returned well done!!! Management wasn t concerned. We wrote Customer Service and got no satisfaction. Scratch Ruth s off our list

I was not at all impressed by this place. The food was ok and the service was sub par. If I'm going to pay this much for a meal, it needs to be impressive. Outback has better service and good steaks. Or better yet, if you want a real fine dining experience, try Bern's Steakhouse.

This is the best place to eat in Sarasota. Flemmings is good and so is Fred's, but this is the best steak in town. It is costly. About 150.00 for a couple to eat. Well worth the money though.

Ruth's Chris always delivers. Food and service are tops in the steakhouse chains. Ala carte can be pricy but everything is big enough to share (many ways!). Very few make it to the sweets at the end but the apple pie is to die for. Wine list is very pricy and has some shortages.
