Country Hound Cafe, Englewood

The prices have gone up toooo much in the last few years! $28 dollars for 2 chicken salad sandwiches,2 french fries ,and 2 cokes! ( That included tip) I can t imagine paying that much for just two, basically lunches!

Was told it was good so gave it a try, asked owner after telling him it was my 1st time eating here what he suggests, he said ribs or T-bone steak, I asked how where the sandwiches and he highly recommended the mote christo so I had a monte christo sandwich, was tasty but it hardly had any meat in it? what happened to piled high!! cole slaw that came with it was good but came in tiny plastic cup like you get dressing in so I got 3 bites, yes 3 bites ! and it was pricey. I eat at Cafe 776 where the price is fair and everything you get is loaded and large, Country hound can not compare even in their dreams, a typical shopping center eatery that I won't visit again.

WE love it here.. Best broasted chicken as well as other home cooked type meals. They even let us put our picture of our favorite 19yr old kitty on wall. Mostly doggies (Yes Country HOUND) great place.. !!

My wife and I are from Michigan and have really enjoyed going to the Country Hound. The food is good and fairly priced. I love their grilled cheese sandwich. It comes with 3 pieces of bread with a couple of different cheeses layered in between. The staff and owners are really nice friendly people. It's a great place to people watch durning lunch and dinner times. Durning the season we eat their at least 3 times a week or more. The only thing wrong is the owners are Ohio State fans. Go Michigan!

I often go to the Country Hound just for the grilled Rueban. The cole slaw is really deliscious as well. Waitresses friendly. A very popular place with the locals as well. Thats the best indicator.
