Mrs Chen's Chinese Restaurant, Sarasota

This was the worst Chinese food we had in Sarasota! We will never go there again and will not recommend it to anyone.

I used to love it but lately their meat is tasting spoiled to me, I'm not sure if its just me or what. I think I am going to stop getting food from there.

We have been going to Mrs. Chen's since i was a little girl. It has always been my favorite Chinese restaurant in Sarasota. It went down hill about a year ago for a few months but it is back to its usual amazing self yea! I definitely recommend getting the Chow Mien and the house fried rice it is delicious!!!

The quality of the food has been going downhill here for a while. The last time we went it was about 2 in the afternoon and everything was soggy or dry. The dessert bar is terrible; dry cake and an ice cream zone that makes you wonder about sanitation. It is still a decent choice if you are on a budget just make sure you eat at the high traffic hours to ensure freshness.

Mrs. Chen's is a great place to enjoy a delicious Chinese buffet. It is a small restaurant, however, so you need to go early. Price is very reasonable and the waitstaff are friendly and accommodating. Great selection, nice desserts. A good meal for a very reasonable price.

The service was fast; the waiter kept our soft drinks and water glasses full. The food was good, but the selection wasn't nearly as large as other Chinese buffets I have been to. The dessert selection was also small. There were 4 types of ice cream (no soft serve), cream puffs, melon and orange slices. I was there for lunch, can't speak for the dinner selection. Lunch was approx. $6.50/person, dinner $8.50. The soft drinks were less than $2. The bill for 5 of us was $38.

Best place for a good, quick, well-priced Chinese lunch in Central Sarasota. Excellent lo mein.

i think the food is somewhat spoil!!! the worst thing was the hair on the food, my brother complain it to the manager, but the manager seems like doesn't care, but just take the food away... Never go there again!

Awesome food, service, and prices. I would definately go there many times over and recommeded this resturant to all.

Whenever we are in Sarasota, it's a must that we go to Mrs. Chen's. Good variety and delicious!
