Italian Deli & Market
You should eat something. You look so thin. This deli is stocked with meats, cheeses, olives, vinegars- all the ingredients for a homemade Italian meal or an antipasti platter. I know, I know, nobody makes it like Mama. Let the nice people at Italian Deli and Market make you some lunch. So eat already! And when are you getting married? I would like to be a grandmother before I die.
I ve seen this guy Jim preping a roll to make a sandwich he cut the roll and pushed it to the side to cut another one , when he did that the roll fell of the counter and he picked it up off the floor like it was a natural act and made the sandwich with the roll . Now if that is happening out front where people can see , god only knows what has been picked up off the floor in the back and fed to people ! Anyone eating there is really rolling the dice . They sell rolls in Wynn Dixie 3 for a dollar , so for 33 cents the guy is willing to lose customers so you have to believe if he drops a veal cutlet or a meatball rest assured he is going to use it and probably not even attempt to rinse it off even though that is also unhealthy. So if you decide to eat there lots of luck!!!!!!!!
Seriously! DO NOT get food from this place! We ordered 2 parmesan heros to go, got them home to find 3 meatball on one NO cheese at all, breaded fried veal on the other with NO cheese (we asked for the sauce on the side). When we called to complain, the Owner was VERY NASTY and actually hung up on me. Not a way to treat a customer. I live on Marco and work in one of the hotels and believe me, I will spread this story to everyone I talk to!
I have lived here on Marco for 17 years and the only thing we don't have is good Pizza, no one in Florida can make a real new york pizza, but Jimmy figured it out and has pizza that is so good you would think you are in New York. Keep up the good work Jimmy.
Spouse and I had lunch at the Italian Deli nearly every day for 6 weeks. Susan's soups are all fastastic-meals in themselves. Take home her meat sauce and lasagna-you won't be sorry. Jim is a bit surly, but WTH-he's from Brooklyn. Seriously, don't miss this place.
Always fresh and tasty ... the best food in Marco/Naples. The staff knows your name if a repeat customer. We are local and our family counts down the days until the next Italian Deli trip! Eggplant parm, pizza, soups, bread, alway reliable! Thanks for feeding us guys!!!
Pizza is absolutely wonderful. Fresh ingredients and you can get it partially baked and finish cooking at home. I always get the vegetarian. The showy 'Italian' eatery immediately north of Italian Deli should take a clue and order their food from the Deli.
We tried to eat at Capt. Briens but were told we needed to buy some corn bread($4) or they would charge us for sharing our meals with or children. Capt. Brien lost a $50+ tab for $4.00. We were told the best pizza on Marco was at The Italian Deli. They were right. We were in Marco for seven nights and we ate food from the deli four of those. We would have eatin more but they only make pizza on Wed.,Thur.,Fri., and Sat. nights. They have some tables to eat there or we took them back to the condo. Their Italian sub and Meatball sub are very good. You can get everything but pizza around lunch time. Pizza is just made in the evening. Please try their pizza once, you could be like us and keep going back for more.
