looking forward to the captiva island one.....sexy.

went here in May 2010 on our last night on the Island. I grew up vacationing at our family home on the canals, and remember when Doc Ford's was another restaurant with the raw bar next door. I never read one of the books, but remember his fishing tours from my childhood. I was intrigued to stop in, given the full parking lot on our way back from watching sunset on Captiva. I was not disappointed. It was one of the best meals we had during our stay. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The portions were perfect. The price was not bad, given the price of everything else on the island. We plan on returning this Memorial Day weekend during our next visit from TX. Still, I miss the raw bar. ;)

One of my favorite places to go and eat dinner/lunch on Sanibel Island. I love there pasta, which I normally always get because it's so addictive. Great environment. Sometimes can have a wait for dinner, but the wait is not that long. Service is also great. Give it a Super A - not too pricey. Very nice place to go out and eat. I do reconmend it.

Looks unassuming from the outside, but inside is very nice. Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable of the food items. The menu for kids was great, not too pricey. I would recommend it.

Have been several times for lunch and dinner. I find that there are not very many options but the ones that are available are well made and tasty. Ambiance is fun and a little loud during the evenings. Service was attentive but a smile would have been nice. For price of a sandwich some better fries would have been appreciated.
