My family and I used to frequent the older Aurelio s joint in Naples. After their upgrade we will NEVER be returning. Our party of 7 called ahead for seating we arrived 20 mins later and were told it would be a 45 min wait. The hostess to,d everyone walking in the door it was 45 mins so calling ahead was no benefit. We had two kids in our party. We went to the var and order appetizers and waited...over an hour later we asked how much longer it would be and the hostess said our name had been scratched off!!! They said hey would seat us next... We waited another 20 mins and they still didn t have anything at this point we asked for the manager. The lady(the owners son s wife) came out and was unapologetic. She said she had a 4 top booth for us...I asked her if our party of 7 could fit at a 4 top booth and she looked at me like a deer in headlights. Duh.?! That was my point... Long story short we asked for he owners and were told they were in Chicago. The owners son then came out and offered us (2) $5 gift cards!!! What a joke--we had just spent $40+ at the bar!! If you want great service & pizza go to Doc s! After two hours of waiting and dealing with this bs we all walked out hungry.
This place is not good, I have given it a few chances. The sauce is sugary, the pizza mediocre and the service not the best. I've picked up pizza before and if you don't happen to park on the SIDE of the building were the sign is on the wall- that directs you to the BACK of the restaurant for pickup, they look at you like you have 10 heads when you walk thru the front door. I had to almost walk back into the kitchen the first time to find someone to help me! Last time our company ordered from here we all got sick a few hours later. I won't be going back anytime soon.
We really liked the pizza, it is a little expensive but worth the price (fresh ingredients). The staff leaves a lot to be desired though. Luckily the food makes up for their short comings. Great for kids too!!
I had one of their pizza's in Chicago years ago, and just happened to discover them last week again in Naples. Pizza was a little expensive, but what you get it is not. Mouthwatering cheese, unforgettable crust, and the freshest of ingredients. Best antipasto salad I have had. Not sure how long they have been here, but know that I know I will be back , hopefully they will knock a few bucks of the pies. But don't let the quality suffer. Great work.
WAY OVER PRICED! A big pizza was about $26-- service was very POOR- when I asked for a box to take home the rest- NOPE! no box allowed- they crammed it into a little styrofoam square, one piece stacked on the next. Terrible. Go to South Street Pizza at corner of Pine Ridge and Goodlette- GREAT PIZZA and friendly and attentive servers.
