went 1st time on Thanksgiving day in the evening just for a drink, waitress was OK said she was happy someone had come in! The next night we decided to eat there, food was good, service was OK same waitress but she didn't remember us (3 English ladies & a man) we went again 2 nights later & waitress told us she was having a bad night, like that was our problem!! service was atrocious, we ordered bread which we would have liked to eat before the meal, as it was warm & served with olive oil & Parmesan, she finally got it to us (after asking twice) just after we finished our food! then we had to wait ages for 2nd drinks & the check. We never went back & wouldn't recommend the bar area if the blonde skinny girl is working...
Very nice atmosphere, also one of the nicest outdoor dining areas on the island as it is screened. There is entertainment in the evening under the stars. The food is very good for the most part, The early bird menu is a best buy on Sanibel.

We had read that this was an outdoor/patio/live music place and not so much of an upscale restaurant, but were pleasantly surprised at the fine dining here. Our kids enjoyed it too.
The Jacaranda maintains the island lifestyle by melding fine dining with a casual feel. The food is consistently wonderful and the staff is some of the best on the island. Would go again, again, and again!
