LA Esperanza Restaurant, Port Charlotte

Very nice. Absolutely adorable service, great food, big meals, worth the money and time. Will go again and again and will recommend to all my friends.

I frequent this restaurant a lot. It's very good. Authentic flavor and atmosphere. Cant beat the tortilla chips and salsa. They also have a good vegetarian selection. However, they can be a little inconsistent in their service. If they are really busy it can effect the quality of food and speed of service a lot. They go from amazing to just blah. So if you are gonna go get there early. They have delicious margarita's at a decent value. I would agree they are the best Mexican cuisine in this area. Definitely worth a visit.

This is the best authentic Mexican food. I have eaten at La Esperanza often both at the old Punta Gorda location and the Port Charlotte location. The chicken quesadillas are out of this world. The chicken fajitas are perfectly cooked. The portions are just the right size. The price you pay for a meal - you can not beat La Esperanza's food. Us Punta Gordian's miss you terribly!

Great little no frills resturant, but stay away from the booze, $6.00 is a little pricey for a bar liquor highball.

Ate there onece, Tried one of the specials. Wasnt the greatest place around the Pt Charlotte/Venice area. Probably should have got the taco plate. Service was OK!

la esperanza is the only place to go get good mexican food. all the other places are fake. everyone should try their food. the very best in town. they have steak, pork chops, fries, deserts and all the mexican food you could ever want. in fact that maureen p lady that rated them so low must not like real food and goes for all the nasty fake stuff. she must be crazy to ever say any of the stuff that she did.

Authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. A nice selection of Mexican beers to wash it down with as well. If you want genuine Mexican food, this is the place. Otherwise, just stick with Taco Bell or Deans.

If you want authentic mexican, this is it. No frills,no great views, just good food. I eat there at least once every 2 weeks. My wife is a vegetarian and they have great food for her. I have tried all mexican restaurant in this area, and they cost more and taste less. I would write a review for Deans, but have tried hard to forget my only visit there.
