As of this writing Sal's is closed & looking for new ownership. He owns the premise and the name but ownership changes often like changing underwear. The latest crew although Italian used artificial products that fell short. Lousy pizza. A small store up the street (Sabatinos) did them in with authentic NY pizza using quality cheese & dough but they were quickly bought out. To my knowledge the former owners of Sals even made a bid before shutting its doors.
THEY ARE VERY RUDE DO NOT GO THERE!
Chicago Pizza or the Dek has better pizza then they do. I sent my daughter and her two girlfriends to pick up a pizza; THEY ARE 17!! Well, they paid for it, waited there for it and as they were leaving they kicked them out and threatend to call the police. There was no one in the place either!!
BTW, the one girl, her father is a cop. Also, I was told they were not even on the property when the threat was made. Please tell me what the police would have done to three paying customers who were leaving? I would not recomend this place to anyone.
It is quite clear they have no social or people skills and are clearly in the wrong business! I am from Chicago...go to the Dek or Chicago pizza!!!!! They are right around the corner! Prior to being in the legal field I was a bartender and restaurant manager for years, they could of handled this in an adult manor; they are goods kids! You lost our buiness.
Great pizza especially the Sal's (also can eat in) at 4703 SW 16th Place attached to Bella Sera Ristorante--which is our favorite Italian restaurant anywhere in the Ft. Myers area. Great food and friendly people.
A few years back I called to order a pizza from Sal's. I had a coupon for $7.99 for a large cheese pizza. The coupon didn't expire for another month. When I called they said that I couldn't get the pizza at the coupon price as their costs had gone up. Now, I certainly understand that when costs increase prices usually follow, but I for goodness sake I was calling on a coupon that THEY put out. I asked to speak to the manager and was told the same thing. I could get it for $8.99, not $7.99. As far as I'm concerned that is bait and switch and was the LAST time I ever patronized Sal's. I've told this story to as many people as possible. How many of them decided to not patronize Sal's I don't know, but I'm sure at least a few.
Great food, Great employees, called them on short notice to have a party for a little league baseball team and they were the greatest, that was 2 years ago, i have had my parties there every year that i coach, same great food and service, one request, keep it up, thanks guys, Blue Dragons, cape coral little league baseball
I was a loyal customer for years, have seen staff come and go. Not a clean place, usually rude service. But pizza was good. The reason I don't go there anymore is because i was short changed $10.00. I realized when I got home and called the resturant. The manager actually told me that it was MY fault if the cashier gave me the wrong change . Seriously, he said it. I support local business, but have found that the local business has to support the customer to. There are many other local pizza places to support. This one lost a loyal customer, but the good news is I've saved alot on money not going to them anymore. There prices are way to high, so actually they did me a favor.. THANKS SALS!!!!
