El Norteno, Winter Haven

ABSOLUTELY DID NOT ENJOY !!! They charged us 1.40 for 3 glasses of water... also a table with 1 person got 1 basket of chips and salsa... the same if you had 2,3, or 4 people... refills are $1.00 each. Food ... I had Stripped Beef Chimi-changa and it was 90 % veggies... almost NO meet. Staff was ambivalent... could not care less about customers. DO NOT EAT HERE unless you want to THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY

Beware of add-ons and high prices that never used to be here. 1st bowl of chips are free - charged extra for any more. Extra tortilla's are $.99 each! Small bowl of cheese dip for chips is $3.49!! Waiter couldn't care less about our concerns so we will not eat here again. Deb

I absolutely LOVE El Norteno - Its not too far for my apartment, so anytime I want good Mexican food at a great price I call them up! Hint for those over 21: They have the BEST margaritas!

El Norteno's is the best authentic mexican restaurant in the Winter Haven and Lakeland area. The food is wonderful and the price is perfect. Oh, and just for the record, I have never seen roaches or any other kind of insect in El Norteno.
