If you're in the mood for Mexican food (and lots of it!), head to Iguana Mia on Cleveland Avenue. The distinctive green and yellow building is hard to miss. There's usually a wait of 30 minutes to an hour. Chips and salsa start the meal, and the Quesadillas come highly recommended. Entrees include burritos, tacos, and enchiladas, or sampler platters for those who can't decide. Vegetarians have many choices, like vegetable fajitas.
Read the reviews and decided to give it a try. We had a great time and the food was delicious! Our server was new, but did an outstanding job trying to do everything he could for us. Although it is an hour south of us, it is worth driving down for the festive atmosphere and the menu. Just about anything you want in Mexican dining is on the menu and resonably priced. If you have a problemo.....ask for Juan! He is the manager and is a really nice guy! We left our credit card there and he kept it nice and safe for us until we could return to get it. Great experience all around.
The Wednesday coupon, good chips and salsa, pleasant waitress, and decorating DID NOT cover up a bland (but strangely bitter) unauthentic Mexican meal. Salt and pepper didn t help, but adding tofu and store-bought seasoning to the leftovers the next day did. I agree that good Mexican places are difficult to find in this area.
I love Iguana Mias and eat there every time I go to Cape Coral. Their Texas dip is a meal in itself and the chips and salsa is the best I have ever had. I don't drink but my family says their 1.00 drafts and 1.00 margaritas are awesome!
I visited Iguana Mia Mexican Restaurant this evening with my family. The service was fine but the food was not flavorful. I have visited several Mexican restaurants and this restaurant by far was not good. So dont waste your time and money. Also, this restaurant is pricey. They charged $2.50 for just a soda.
I tryed the pork chimichanga with cheesey chile on top and i am hooked. They have good side dishes there not like typical mexican food. we ate at the one located in the cape and it was very nice. Park in the back if you hate to paralel park. service was good and friendly which is hard to find these days.
