I worked for these ladies many years ago. I had to leave due to my son having brain surgery. I was with them at the old location and the new location. They were more like my family than my bosses. Great place to eat and great girls to work for. If you remember me ladies look me up on face book
This is easily my favorite restaurant in Ft. Myers! We had moved away for several years. Now that we are back, we were thrilled to see the food quality and the smiling service had stayed the same. We ve never been disappointed! This is clearly one of Ft. Myers best kept secrets!
I and my family have been visiting Fort Myers during spring training season, and again in the fall for that last 7 years. On our 2nd trip, we discovered Oasis and fell in love with the atmosphere, food, and employees. We are obviously not locals, and I am sure no one at the restaurant would even remember that we have ever visited, since it is only twice or three times per year. However, we have never experienced anything less than near perfection. The staff are always great and smiling, the food has always been awesome. We are flying in on Monday 3/26, again for spring baseball, and have already made plans to visit our friends at Oasis while there. Obviously one of the previous patrons had a bad experience, or a bad day,
I normally will not respond to a review, however when someone who does not know me attacks my business ethic then I am compelled to set the record straight. First of all there is nothing more important to us then our customers. If there is ever a reason that someone is dissatisfied on any level in our restaurant it is our goal to make it right. I can only assume that you did not share your dissatisfaction with our server because I promise you we would have made it right. Let me make it very clear Mr. Grubman we employ approximately 30 people and all earn above minimum wage, and let me assure you that each and everyone of them get paid before we do. We have never terminated anyone's employment at the end of season and we are known as the restaurant that gives second chances by employing some folks that need a helping hand.
As far as the article, though I was slightly misquoted i believe that if you read it all the way through you would have seen where it clearly said that the restaurant would have to guarantee that tipped employee $9.98 per hour which is $3.25 over minimum wage, so in your mind I have to assume that the true minimum wage earner deserves to earn considerably less then a tipped employee.
We have very minimal turnover of tipped employees because they make great money, and we are proud to provide them a place in which to do so. At the end of the day we are proud of our
23 years of ownership. We are here today because of our great customers, our great food and service and especially the great crew in our employ. Mr Grubman let me assure you, I am not a greedy person and I do believe in an honest days pay and if you would like to discuss the kind of person I am before assuming you know me then I would be more then happy to do so.
