Saltrock Grill, Indian Shores

A very positive experience. The wait staff was excellent and knowledgeable. We had a group of 8 and were well taken care of. We all ordered different entrees and various wines. Everything was exceptional. I am planning another trip to St. Pete and will definitely visit again.

I am a wino and a foodie. With that said the only impressive thing that I saw was the bread and the dip. The early bird menu is a good value. The service was good. By the way be carefull of the valet driver when they drive the cars in reverse! I ve check their wine list and menu on line before going to the restaurant. To my surprise their wine list on line for the most part did not match the wine list in the restaurant. Most were way to expensive. The with boom in the wine industry the average should be about 2 to 2 1/2 the price of retail. Their wines by the bottle was over 3 times the price for the high end wines. I did not see a middle of the road wine and the lower end were few selections, again over priced. I ve gotten better values and wine selection that fits all income brackets at Bern s Steakhouse or even Guppy s on Indian Rock Beach. Also the appetizers on line were different then what we saw on the menu. Most all seafood and the couple things that were non seafood had mushrooms. Both items my wife can t eat. If you like over price seafood and wines and your looking to get lucky on a date this maybe the place to go. If you want good quality food and wine and still a beach atmosphere then I suggest Guppy s!. Their valet won t run you over! Your foodie and wino, Frankie

Yes, thebt place to be seen,the decor and ambience excellent.the food is average or below. From the amount of patrons on a Tuesday, we expected alot and received just yucky food. I don't mind paying high prices when food is tasty, but this is awful. Don't get sucked in.

I ordered twin lobster tails. They were expensive and completely tasteless. Tasted like they sat in warm water for hours. Then to top it off the drawn butter tasted like movie theater butter!!! TERRIBLE!!!! Go to Island Way for a great dinner.......

What a great place! Really enjoyed our experience. The service was great, the food was well prepared. I had the sushi grade tuna..rare, and it melted in my mouth, just a little too much Teriyaki sauce (i scrapped it off)! Yummy! If you like asparagus, be sure to order it with your meal.. very tender with great flavor and the Chocolate Truffle dessert was sinful and worth the calories!!!! They pay attention to detail. Had a great table, enjoyed the view of the water ways. The atomphere was great. Staff is very friendly. Valet parking. We like to dress up when we go out which makes for a fun time, I noticed some people were dressed up and some where very casual, but afterall it is a beach community in Florida. It was my bf birthday, I wish they would do something special for birthdays... they Do Not sing Happy Birthday .... but all in all it was a great experience and I would certainly go there again and recommend to friends. It's great for a romantic dinner, or just for some great food. Cory was our waiter, and did an excellent job! Thank you We will return!!!!

We also spend every anniversary dinning at the Salt Rock Grill and have always had great service and a great meal.

We go every year for our anniversary while we vacation there! We'd go more often than that if we could! My husband gets the same thing (new york strip) every time we go, he hasn't found one anywhere else that compares and we dine out to 'nice/fancy' places often. Their grouper chowder is fantastic for an appetizer, and the King Crab legs are great (especially since they crack them for you!)! Can't wait to go back!!

The only thing I had at this restaurant was a glass of water, because once we saw the menus and the prices, we got out of there! I was embarassed to walk out, because I have never left a restaurant due to prices, so that lets you know just how expensive it is. The hostess and server were nice, but the prices were way too high for us to eat there. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, unless they just have money to throw away!

A great place to eat at. We had a first year Anniversary at Salt Rock Grill it was a gift and what a great gift it was.

11/16/09 Horrible! Upon arrival we were greeted by an open dupster overflowing with rotten garbage. The service was good, but the food was horrible! I have always brougth friends and family there for birthday celebrations and the food was excellent. However, this time it was just not the same. The bread was hard, the steak dry and tough. The salads appeared to have been leftovers. Rest assured that I will not be coming back!!
