Depot Restaurant & Catering, Avon Park

Went there today for breakfest. The place was crowded and the smell of food was nice. But when our food arrived the toast and home fries were burned. The cheese grits are white grits covered in a yellow cheese..not made in the traditonal Southern way. The sausage gravy and biscuits were good and plentiful. This place was a disapointment considering this is a local diner that working class and tourists go to for good food. They are spending money for good food and not getting it everytime. They need to stop serving burned toast and home fries, improve on presentation and learn how to make real cheese grits. The food today was below standard.

Chicken and Dumplings on Tuesdays can't be beat! The soups are fantastic!
