Frenchy's Saltwater Cafe, Clearwater Beach

Wonderful food and great area. Around a ton of Clearwater Beach attractions. Definitely one of my favorite places to stop by when im in the area.

Great food & service. Always busy like all the other Frenchy's. Try the Buffalo Shrimp!

Good service and atmosphere. We had the seafood combo entree which was pretty mediocre. So were the crab cakes (crab BALL) and conch fritters.

Went with friends...8 of us total...had a really good meal and it was all served at one time...! So yeah, we got to eat together which sometimes does not happen with a small crowd. Will return, for sure.

Frenchy's is a Clearwater Beach institution. The grouper sandwich is the best I have found and I have eaten fresh grouper all over the state. The Super Grouper gives you a huge portion to eat for 9.95. The ambiance varies depending on which restaurant you go to. The beach location has live music and a large bar. This location is more of a local place as it is the original restaurant and less popular. The oysters are good, and so are the appetizers and the fish tacos.

Loved the Cajun grouper sandwich and the calamari appetizer. Always very busy but can usually get a table reasonably quick during lunchtime. Great ambiance and outdoor seating, highly recommended!

If you happen to be on the beach with friends hanging out and having drinks, the saltwater cafe might not be so bad. I went with a group for a birthday dinner and it wasn't so great. we had to wait over an hour in the crowded tiny waiting area. the whole place was extremely loud because everyone was shouting over each other. the food seemed decently priced, but servings were pretty small. I had the chicken caesar salad which the menu quoted was "big enough to share" and it was about half the size of the caesar salads you'd get at a Bennigan's type place. It tasted ok, but the dressing was too much like mayo, not enough flavor. if you get drunk, it might be a fun time. if you're looking for great service and great food, look elsewhere. PROS: location CONS: nothing great about it, slow service

The place is awsome and affordable! You won't find Sea food anywhere better! also, Frency's has 3 other locations. Try them all1 they are all different!
