Post Corner Pizza, Clearwater

Post Corner had long been a tradition in Clearwater. After new ownership, it has gone downhill and keeps sliding. No more house dressing or breads, everything is now bought in. Everything has been cut except for adding more crowded seating to get what it can off of its former reputation. The older gentleman who bought it seems to only be interested in the money, and entertaining friends. He doesn't check on customers (except greeted at the door, which is if you have your wife with you. If you have a wife or daughter, he WILL be stroking their arm, hugging them, or something. He's the same with all the young girls he hires, that provide really slow service). But don't expect him to check on your table. He'll be busy sitting with friends, letting them go into the back themselves to get their own refills (it's that a health code thing?), etc. Kind of sad while you watch your food sit in the window for 15 minutes. This last time we went the waitress did appologize and offered to have the cooks stick the pizza back in the oven to warm it because it sat at the window so long. Not expected for a meal that came (with salad and drinks) to over $40. Speaking of health, they also let folks in without shoes now. Not used to that in a sit down restaurant. So, despite the health issues and horrible service (which has never been great), most everything is bought in now. Very poor quality.

the pizza was good, not as good as the gondolier, a little further down the beach, the fresh fish of the day was not good, nor prepared well, the kids meals were skimpy, the fried mushrooms were way over burnt, and horrible. also, you will notice that the "crowd" eating there is mostly older people. service was merely acceptable. would not go back there, and to top it off, they automatically charged 18% tip into our bill.

Post Corner don't deliver, but it's far better service than angelo's pizza, I'll get in my car and drive to south beach to eat Post Corner before calling the rude people at angelo's ever again, and hope that there lady driver doesn't run me over talking on her cell phone.

If you go to Clearwater there are two places to visit to dine.... Frenchys for the Grouper sandwich and Post Corner Pizza for the best greek salad and pizza in the world. Both places are a must when we visit that area and we usually go to PCP two or three times. Both have outside dining (best at sunset) and inside with some A/C if you desire a cooler enviroment while dining. Can't wait till our next visit.

We have been eating at Post Corner for years and really enjoyed the Greek salad The salad we had tonight was disappointing to say the least. It didn't even have dressing on it although the waitress assured me it did!! When I asked for dressing she put a basket of six packets in front of me. What happened to the customer is always right. The pizza was good. The service not so great and the Greek salad was awful.

I worked at POST CORNER PIZZA for many years before I returned back to my home state.The food is the best on the beach and the nicest people to work for and both worked with.I know all of us enjoyed waiting on all the people who came to visit Clearwater,Beach We have the best tasting food and best views on the beach. We take pictures for ower guests with a beautiful sunset backgound. ...Don't miss this place when you visit here...IT'S A MUST!!

We wanted salads and ordered the greek salad. The gyro meat is not authentic spit roasted meat. I have never had something so bland as this salad. The dressing had no flavor at all. It was just oily. What a waste of $22.00.

My daughter and I fell in love with the pizza here! We live in Jax Beach and will be moving to Michigan in a few years and we will STILL come back to this restaurant. Will be back November of 2009 when we stay at the Hilton again!

My husband and I have been traveling to the area for years and a visit to Post Corner is always a must. Love their gyros and souvlaki platters - I'm always in heaven enjoying their food and amazing view of the beach.

One of the best restaurants on South Beach. We have vacationed on Clearwater Island for several years and found the "Post" to have the best Breakfast's on the Beach. All of the staff are very friendly. Pizza is very good as well, would compare it to Big Ed's Pizza of Oak Ridge Tennessee.
