I made reservations to dine on the deck. When our party arrived we were told we d have to wait 30 -60 minutes. When I told the hostess that I had reservations she said it s first come first serve . So I asked why this policy wasn t mentioned when I called and what is the point of taking reservations. She mumbled some kind of response as she walked away. When she returned she offered a table in the dining room, I wanted to leave but I was out voted and we were lead to the dining room where it must have been ninety degrees. I asked if they would turn on the air conditioning . I decided at this point that I was going to sit this one out and I ordered nothing, the rest of my party ordered and I sat and watched them sweat as they tried to enjoy what they said was an average meal

Me & my husband just went here for the 1st time on our Anniversary. I have to say I was immediately impressed with the attmosphere. We enjoyed the food (snapper, oysters & sushi) and prices I tought were fair for the portion and quality. The staff were very nice and the overall cleanliness of the place was great. I would recommend this to anyone. I also hear they have great early bird specials and an awesome sunday brunch. We will be back again for sure.

I have no idea where some of these reviewers were eating. I was in Clearwater for phillies spring training and we had seen this restaurant last year. We stopped to look at the menu and decided to eat there after the game. We ended up eating there for our remaining two evenings as well. The food was excellent, The early dining special was just ridiculously inexpensive and had a wide selection of choices. I also live in a resort area with many fine dining choices and if this restaurant was in my area I would eat there weekly. A great view, great service and great food at a great price. What more could you ask for.

Went there for the first time today and it will be my last. First of all, it's important to note that I'm very forgiving when I go out to eat. I understand the mechanics of how restaurants run and that there are a large degree of factors that can turn an experience sour rather easily. In other words, things happen and I rarely if ever let it ruin my meal. Overcooked? That's ok, please recook. Wait a little longer to be seated after a reservation? I understand, not a biggy. It's cool...really. The only things that may rub me the wrong way are when the fundamentals are off: Poor food, unclean establishment or poor service. That’s inexcusable. We had a reservation, and were seated promptly which I appreciated. The view was wonderful, the service was fine, the aesthetics of were also very nice. The big problem? The food was sub par (and that’s me being generous.) Peel and eat shrimp were good, yet many were not deveined. Egg Benedict were cold (one bite and pushed aside.) The sausage was also cold, and was of poor quality. Potatoes, how difficult is it to screw this up? Bland and cold as well. Spicy tuna sushi was decent, but the crab rolls were the krab with a “K” and I didn’t bother. Even the dessert was a letdown: Bananas in Bananas Foster had a strange taste to them. The cookies weren’t even good (one bite and that was enough.) I just couldn’t believe how poor the quality was here. The roast beef was decent, but again nothing special. The vanilla bean ice cream was nice however, as were the shot glasses with the peanut butter mouse and key lime pie. Overall the food was just dismal. 60 dollars isn’t really that much, but it’s a hell of a lot for a meal this bad. I can’t think of a time when I ever left a brunch not full, this may have been the first time. I pushed away nearly everything I ate. Maybe it was an off day as this place seems to get many decent reviews. Although from my experience today I wouldn’t go back if the food was offered to me at half price. There are so many other great places I can go and get a superior meal for the same price.

We were visiting Tampa from New York and had a wonderful dinner at the Island Way Grill. We brought our whole family out and had a memorable evening. The atmosphere was both lively and intimate. We liked the mix of people in the restaurant. Some people were dressed up and others were dressed casually. Everyone seemed to be having fun. Our waiter was terrific, he was helpful, engaging, and attentive. The food was fantastic, including the dessert. The bartender even knew how to make a dark and stormy! We are fortunate to have family in the area and we will definitely be back. We highly recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience.

To be honest I have never been so unsatisfied with a resturant that I actually wrote a review but this one surely deserves it. the service is beyond horrible it took over 25 minutes for me to get a refill for my soda after I asked twice finally i got a manager to actually pay attention to me. Then on top of that we asked for the check the waiter took another 25 minutes to remember to bring that to us. Another first for me i left under 25% he didn't even deserve a dollar honestly. Food was okay I've had better from Frenchy's. Another note make sure that everyone going likes seafood or steak, also they have no selection for condiments other then wasabi mustard, ketchup, a1, oil, and vinegar.

We just moved to the area from Orlando. We loved the sushi at MoonFish and were looking for something comprable in this area. Well- we found it. The sushi was really great! And the sushi chef was super nice! We will definitely be going back a few times a month!

I have been to IWG more times than I can count. Service is almost always superior (there's occasionally a small wobble), food is excellent. Menu is very good but for the habitual visitor, could vary a little. Surroundings are artistic, very clean. Nice sushi bar. Lots of fine wines available. Expect to pay well for an excellent experience.
