Cajun Cafe on the Bayou, Pinellas Park

I found this Restaurant as I was driving by. Wow, I'm glad I didn't miss it. I love Cajun food, and this place didn't dissapoint, Iv'e already been back 4 times with my wife. Jambalaya, Gumbo and Red Beans & Rice, tasted as good as I've had in LA. Crawfish Cornbread is loaded with Cheese and Crawfish. They have really hot items too, if that's what you want. Also other food for people who don't do hot. They make everything from scratch, even smoking their own Pork Chops, and Fishspread. There is also a great choice of microbrews. Overall a great experience. There is a deck next to the Bayou, which was very relaxing. The service was very good, and at the end.............you have to try the Whiskey Bread Pudding, with a butter sauce poured on it, Mmmmmmm!!!

A hidden gem! An authentic taste of New Orleans here in FL. Great atmosphere and wonderful food. And the bread pudding lived up to all the other comments - YUMMY! I liked that they ask you to turn your phones off and keep your kids behaved as they really want you to come in, relax, and enjoy yourself without all the distractions. That being said, it really added to the atmosphere that they create. I needed to make a trip to Largo and happened upon their listing when it popped up in my search. I wanted to try it due to my boyfriend having lived in N.O. for 3 years and always said it was good food. This place did not disappoint and we will definitely make the drive there again! If our guests are up for it, we will most certainly try to take them there as well. :)

Maybe their cook is on vacation. Not New Orleans food. Very disappointed. Trying to be kind. If you just want beer it ok. (food) See if cook has gone back to New Orleans for extensive training

This is the place, all you 30-40 somethings who like beer for it's flavor. Not a place for those of you who like Bud Light, Miller or cheap beer, although they do carry them. This is a place to try out all types of pale, wheat, brown, stout, and red ales. What a great place to have a beer. A very relaxed comfortable atmosphere. Definitely going back for a BEER FEST.

What a great suprise. We have driven past this place for years, and after eventually going in, realized what we've been missing. Charming little place, very authentic looking, and also very clean. The food was excellent, the service was too. It's funny that once you are down there sitting next to the bayou, there is a calming atmosphere. Another nice suprise was all the different beers on sale, something you don't always get together with great food. My wife and I will definately be back.

You'l have a good time I guarantee: This is a restaurant that takes you back to good old New Orleans. When you drive up the sandy shelled drive you think you're going to a jut joint in the south. Inside you will find a great little eatery with inside and outside porch seating facing the bayou. Prices for most meals are under 20 dollars and I highly recommend ordering the deep fried soft shelled crab. They are also known for their very special Bread Pudding. Frog legs and gator is also on the menu. Smaller portions and smaller prices are available on their Lunch menu if you want to try out this jem and not risk your pocket book. Check out the website for nights they have live Zydeco entertainment and yearly they have a crawfish festival that has to be experienced. Authentic Cajun food, always a pleasure to eat here. All the food is cooked onsite, and very flavorful. Inside or out by the water we have never failed to have a good time here. Looks a bit shakey from up on the road, but as soon as we got inside the first time realized it was a nice friendly Restaurant, with good service.
