Palm Pavilion Beachside Grill & Bar, Clearwater Beach

This is a local hangout I'm told but you can't tell the folks that live here from the rest of us. The view is why everyone comes. You can eat at the bar, but if you can hold out (especially during spring break when they are really busy) wait and get a table outside. And I'm amazed at with all the people that they serve how good the food is. Was sooo happy when they added the chicken caesar wraps to the menu. Forget their key lime pie. I order a chunky monkey (drink) instead for dessert. We usually try to sit about mid-way down the deck so we can enjoy the music.

Gorgeous view and Fun atmosphere. I've been going to the Palm Pavillion for all of my 40 years and now I'm taking my own family there. We love going for lunch and dinner and sitting outdoors with a view of the ocean. I have so many memories of walking down the beach with the sun blazing down and you couldn't wait to get to the Palm for a cool, refreshing drink. Where else can you go in your bathing suit, barefoot with the sand in your toes, and grab a bite to eat or a drink and no one thinks twice how you're dressed? I can still feel the cool wood deck with the grains of sand beneath my feet. The gift shop is always fun to browse in and pick up a souvenier to take home--reminders of the perfect vacation. I can't imagine vacationing in Clearwater Beach and not making the Palm Pavilion part of it. To me the Palm Pavilion is and always will be Clearwater Beach--it wouldn't be the same without it.

Very casual place great to watch the sunset! Our group of 4 only got burgers (probably a mistake as they were all overcooked) so while the meal wasn’t great, the ambiance was great. It was great to be on the beach with live entertainment watching the sunset.

The service was excellent here..this was our first time visiting Clearwater Beach...the view was gorgeous! We watched the sunset while eating our dinner,their was live entertainment(great band).The place was very busy and only took about 10 mins for our food to come out!!!!! would love to visit this place again on our next vacation to Clearwater Beach

WE were there Thursday the 26th of March. I was really looking forward to eating there. However our visit was ruined by both our server David who had an extremely bad attitude. If he doesn't want to serve the public he should really find another line of work. At the bar were a pair of drunks who should have rented a room. We won't be back. I know this won't bother the management because the view is wonderful. Why is it that the places tourists want to visit don't bother to provide a friendly courteous atmosphere?

I am writing because I happen to love this beach bar and grill! I never have to wait too long because of the many tables (inside and out) It is always filled with tourists but thats alright because they love it too. The food is great with a varied menu and you can't go wrong with any choice! There is live music every night and P.P.B.G. has the most beautiful view of the gulf! The bar is huge and open to the gulf air. What else can I say???? This bar is in my backyard and I love it!!!

I love sitting outside and looking across the beach at the Gulf of Mexico. It is about as good as it gets to listen to the music and sip a margarita in the sun. The food is good and inexpensive but the view is worth a million bucks.

More of a place to get a drink, than have dinner. Went 4/23/09 beautiful weather. Place was croweded but we got a table quickly. Outdoor music too loud to allow for easy conversation between table members. Drink service at bar very quick, but frozen drinks very expensive compared to the drink size. Seated quickly, our server walked by us about 7 times before acknowledging us. We ordered simple, cup of seafood chowder, chicken nachios, Palm Burger (hamburger) and BBQ sandwich Seafood chowder used FAKE crab meat...very disappointing Chicken nachios, very little chicken not enough salsa Palm Burger: Fatty frozen burger used, so fat that driving home I had to make a pit-stop at a gas station. Not good Chicken BBQ sandwich, chicken breast was overcooked. BBQ was just slapped on before serviing. Lettuce was the core of some old head laying around. Tomato's were fine French fries were straight from the frozen food section of your local grocery store Rum Runner drinks- very tasty, but tiny in size No silverware even when food arrived. Lots of rugrats running around with their parents acting like they didn't know their kids were brats. Overall: this would be a good place to grab a drink or drinks and watch the sunset. Its right on the beach and their is ample eye candy to help make up for this place's obvious shortcomings. I will go back but would pretty much rather eat fastfood than eat Palms food again.

We visit Clearwater twice a year for 10 days at a time. We stop at the Palm Pavilion everyday we go to the beach (8 out of 10). The atmosphere is awesome. The live music, drinks, food, and the staff. Just can't get any better than relaxing with the Palm, Gulf, and Sun. Keep up the great job. See ya in June !
