Food Poisoning! Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Basmati rice & Plain Naan for dinner last night. Tossed & turned all night & now at 6am it made me vomit. :( I tried this place out of the blue. I ve been eating Indian food for 22yrs & I usually wait to have a place recommended to me before I go. Serves me right. India Grill dwntwn St Pete is my favorite. I ll go there from now on.
We arrived at 7:00 pm and was seated right away. It took 17 minutes to receive our drink order and 1 1/2 hours to receive our dinner. When it arrived it was cold but we were unable to get the attention of our waitress/and at that same time and afraid it would take another 1 1/2 to get our dinner if we sent it back.
People who arrived 1/2 hour after us got there dinner 15 minutes before we did. They happened to be Indian and they said, the food was so bad even they would never come back. They complained to the waite staff and they did nothing about it. The Indian couple said, when you cant eat the rice you know there is a huge problem in the kitchen.
There was also a couple with a 1/12 year old child. They cane about 10 minutes before we did and they received their dinner after we did. They, finally asked for it to go when it arrived. The baby was a great child and only had to be walked about 8 times to keep him happy. But, by the time their food came the baby was falling asleep and they had to get their dinner to go.
It took us 17 minutes to receive our drink order and 1 1/2 hours to receive our dinner. As I said, it was cold (COLD)!!!
In 25 years my husband has NEVER complained to wa waiter/waitress. But last night, he did. The waitres, just said, I'm so sorry. We had a few more togo orders tonight and the cook couldn't keep up.
DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING HERE. IF THE INDIANS CAN'T EAT THE FOOD -- WOULD YOU??? WE WON'T RETURN THERE EVER AGAIN!!!!
WOW! Love it!! LOVE IT!!!: We have breen frequent patrons of of Laziz since we have discovered it! The food is authentic, flavorful, robust, DELICIOUS! Its a small place, and they usually dont accept reservations, so get there early on weekends.
Laziz is not a place to go if you are in a hurry, the wonderful Indian flavors take time to prepare. But, for a quiet, low-key (or perfect date) night, Laziz is the place to go! Thumbs up.......
Wow, I don't know what other people say about this restaurant, but it's the best indian food i have had. The butter-chicken is one of my favorite dishes. I was there last night and the service was excellent. I only had to wait less than 5 minutes and the server were really helpful. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at laziz and i would be back with a fews of my friends. I give it a thumb up.
people who have no sense of taste should cook their own food and eat it.
I have eaten in a variety of resturants, and what gets me is the people who
come to eat in these places because they felt like not cooking, complain the most. If your such an expert on cusine then you should be making it at home. All such resturants have their own unique way of cooking and taste, which might not be what one is used to, that does not mean that the resturant is not good. I have eaten a number of times in laziz, and you can tell by my rating, small things can be over-looked, but the food got to be good, and so it is.My advice is take a chill pill, before visiting any resturant.
