Our reservation was at 7, we did not get out until 9:15. Excuse was that our waiter had to leave because of a prior engagement. The one who relaced him had way to many tables and consequently the service was awful.
Please, keep driving if you are thinking about a stop at Tio Pepe's. This restaurant's food and service has faded along with its building. I went to Tio Pepe's about six years ago and looked forward to my next trip, however, the experience was awful. Bad Food, Bad Service and Bad Design. Get a mop and hire a manager, then look for a cook!
I wish that I could get back the past two hours of my life, for I spent it at Tio Pepe's. The food was cold! How can both meals be served cold? My wife had Lobster with obvious freezer burn and the sauce on my fish was tasteless. We did enjoy the wine list and ordered a bottle shortly after deciding on a dinner selection, unfortunately the wine was finally served after our appetizer and salad. Needless to say the service was poorly trained.
I truly enjoy Spanish food and have traveled throughtout Spain, but this was a disgrace to Spain.

WAS A GREAT EVENING.
Gracias, thank you,
Tio Pepe is one of the best restaurants anywhere.
I have seen very few negative comments about Tio Pepe, and the ones I have seen I wonder if this people know how red wine is served. And that yes, Chablis is white and served cold. And also that white Zinfandel is pink.
The food is excellent, the place is just fantastic. The service is unique.
Ofcourse, Tio Pepe Restaurant is not for everybody, not for the price, but for it's class.

A restaurant stuck in time, a rather tacky one. Get over the musty smell of mold, sit at a table from a former abandoned diner and eat food that is bland and cold. Not much of an endorsement, but it is just terrible.
