Take it from a Chicagoan. This is a far cry from Chicago Pizza.
The Pizza was bland, had little or no seasoning. topped with what I think was a combination of mozarella and mild cheader cheese. It was supposed to have Pepperoni and Saugage but I was hard pressed to find it.
The crust was good and crispy. Seemed like a fairly popular place I guess for people who like bland. I'd give it a pass.
I have been a big fan of this place for the past 16 years, but the last 6 months I have seen some major changes in this place. I'm not writing this review on 1,2 or even 3 visits, this is a six month review. The last time went I actually had to open the pizza box when I picked up my pizza to make sure there was a pizza there. They are really skimping on ALL the ingredients. There is NO flavor with your pizza anymore. The cheese is not the same quality. I have been a BIG fan of this place and now I could not recommend this place to anyone. So I just go to Mama's pizza on Starkey road and get my fix. Charlie and Millies, I am sorry but you have lost my business forever.
This place is awful. The pizza tastes like tomato paste and imitation cheese on a saltine cracker. I really do not understand the loyalty that the locals have to this place. The restaurant itself is filthy and old, and LOUD. Is there another Chicago that I don't know about? There has to be-because I've eaten pizza in Chicago IL, and it never tasted like Charlie and Millie's.
I've been searching for a good pizza place in Pinellas County, and now I've found it! The delicious thin crust reminded me of the pizza I ate growing up in Chicago!! I have high pizza standards, and Charlie & Millie's gets an A+!
The pizza was really good for a Florida establishment. It was tasty, light, and airy, and it left you wanting more.
I've never been to Chicago, but if this WAS Chicago, we'd be eating Chicago Pizza. But, nonetheless, we live in Florida.
The water and product that is readily available here, has an affect on the outcome of pizza. Look for something you enjoy, and try new places.
That's my 2 cents.
C&M's is a nice little place.
If you love thin crisp crust, this is the place. Still looks 1970s inside and out, BUT don't let that fool you. Excellent Pizza! The owner's, the Hajan's must use this place as their personal ATM as I don't think they ever have spent a dime on the place. But no problems, we love the pizza. The waitress, the one that has been there forever is very moody. Most of us regulars understand but I can see how she could really turn off a new customer quickly. One more thing, Mr. Hajan and Doug, the pizza is better when one of you are there.
