You should go just to see the food!! Excellent and unique choices of breakfast done The Frog Pond way. I live close, and go there too often. It's not healthy food, but is the real thing ever? For me it's like gambling (not on the chance that the food and service won't be great), I try to set a limit and stick to it, you know how that goes. If you're within 100 miles, it's worth the drive. None of my family and friends visit, without insisting on going to The Frog Pond, again! Oh, and did I mention the other positives, I don't have enough time. You'll love it, I do every time!
Maybe the build-up was too much. Our server was arrogant and hardly made eye contact with us. Our food (sausage waffles and pecan waffles) while large, had hardly any flavor even with the syrup. I guess we are used to having really good sausage in the midwest. Garnished with a limp piece of lettuce, we were left extremely disapppointed. The decor was adorable however and if you are a frog lover, this is the place to go. Just be prepared to pay alot to see it because the food and service aren't worth the bucks.
They have Eggs Benedict done ways that I never knew existed before, the decor is really cute, and the portions are bigger than you can probably ever eat. Not sure of the best time to go. Every time I have been, it has been fairly busy, but the food is so worth it.
