Description

One of the anchors of John's Pass Village, Friendly Fisherman Waterfront Restaurant does the obviousit specializes in seafood. You may not get the best burger here, but the grouper sandwich will be laudable. You'll find a floating dock at The Fisherman. Come early for a substantial breakfast, later for a waterside lunch or even later for a casual dinner. This also makes a great stop if you've been touring and shopping in this rustic, seaside Village. A full bar offers a range of tropical options as well as the standbys.

An average seafood restaurant with average fare. Staff is competent. Prices are middling. Nice views if you get the right seat. Convenient to Madeira Beach locations but otherwise nothing to write home about.

I have been dining at the Friendly Fisherman for over 25 years, every time I visit the Treasure island area. The food, service and atmosphere are all you expect on the water. Not only for lunch and dinner but I have enjoyed many memorable breakfasts with my dad and sons before our fishing trip on the Hubbards deep sea boats. Can't wait to take my new wife in October!!

THE STAFF IS AS THERE NAME FRIENDLY, THE NIGHT MANAGER IS SO CUTE, HIS EYES MAKE THE FOOD EVEN BETTER. GREAT LOCAL GROUPER. OMG THEY HAVE SWEET POTATO FRIES.

Food is decent, people are great. Going through some changes so was slow for awhile. Great location! Could use some excitement and cheaper drinks!

Have eaten here several times and love it here. The service is good, even on a crowded friday night, and the food is great, I've never had anything bad here and my bf claims its the best shrimp hes had. I would recommend this place to anyone whos looking for a good seafood meal.

Much better than "Scabbies" (A.K.A. Scullys)!!!!

After getting treated like second class citizens at a neighboring restaurant (they never bothered to get us a table then got mad at us for complaining about it!!!)my husband and I went BACK to our usual haunt- Friendly Fisherman (they REALLY ARE friendly!) and got the usual great service, great food and wonderful staff that keep us coming back! We LOVE youuuuuu!!!!

Not Excellent, But Very Good

We went as a group of 5 on November 7th of 2006. The waitress was so confused. She handed us a plate of calamari instead of a hot dog dinner for our kids. The plates were mixed up with fries going on the wrong plate, and it was just very confusing to her. I didn't like the fact that 18% was automatically added to the bill. Why should I be forced to support mediocre service. This is why confused waitresses keep working good restaurants.
