PJ's Oyster Bar, St Petersburg Beach

PJ's has great seafood. The green parrot in the tiny cage in the corner by the restrooms has been there for years 24/7..very inhumane treatment of that poor parrot.

This place was wonderful. We stopped at the station and asked the guy where a great seafood joint was that served Calamari, I give that guy 2 high 5's. It was reasonable prices and had a great atmosphere and decor. Hats off to the chef!

We really enjoyed our dinner here. Great, fun atmosphere. No frills, but great food. We didn't find the place in the local tourist info that you pick up at the hotels, etc... Just found it by chance. We'd go back, for sure. GREAT ROCK CRAB AND OYSTERS!

We went to PJ's last night based on the good reviews posted on Yahoo. I must tell you that we were very pleased. We received quick seating and a great waitress who was laid back, but attentive. We had the buffalo shrimp, raw oysters, combo fish platter ,and the PJ Cajun cheeseburger. The seafood was cooked perfectly. It was reasonably priced with a fun atmosphere. We would definitely visit again.

From a non-local, the food is on par or better than all local fancier Seafood Restuarants. I have tried every one on them. Strickly Casual, No white linen, Paper towels hanging from the ceiling over each table. You cant beat the grilled or blackened seafood( I ve had local amberjack, grouper and Mahi, always good portions and excellent. And lobster tails... forget about it! 8oz for 19.95 and a big boy size tail for 35.00; comparable to meals I paid over $100 for in Chicago. Fresh Oysters, Excellent soups. I m heading back to Chicago today, But Not Until 1 more trip to PJ s

No gimmicks here, just great seafood at exceptional prices.

Casual atmosphere, casual dress, great food, great value for what you get, and the staff was friendly and fast.
