This regional favorite features fish smoked on the premises in an adjacent smokehouse. Try the Smoked Salmon, Smoked Mullet or Mackerel. You can also buy these packaged to take home from your vacation. Dinners are served with the restaurant's traditional German Potato Salad, plus coleslaw, pickle slice, tomato, sweet onion, and lemon. If you're devoted to landlubber fare, the restaurant also offers hamburgers and grilled chicken sandwiches. Beer's on tap here. Bring cash; credit cards are not accepted.

Love the service and the food. Everything is excellent. Im going today to pick up some food. Cheeseburger and a pint of german potato salad. YUMMY!! Family owned and operated also.

Not dog friendly

For a place that is basically picnic tables in a parking lot I was suprised that they would not let my dog sit tied up next to the table. Much nicer places than this allow dogs at the outdoor tables.

Worth the long drive!!!

Three generations of my family have been going to Ted Peters since the mid 60's. When I was younger, we used to get an outside table near the smoke house hoping to get the first batch of smoked fish coming from the smoker! No matter where we're vacationing in Florida (we're from Illinois), we make Ted Peters a must stop! The very best cheeseburgers, clam chowder, German potato salad and smoked fish we've ever had. And how about those frosty mugs of root beer!!!

Nowhere else in Florida can you get the same great smoked fish as the native Indians ate thousands of years ago. Great place to sit and eat with your family or just to grab a great cheeseburger after a trip to the beach. Wonderful atmosphere. Don

You can't go to this part of Florida and not eat here. I have been going there since I was a little kid in the 60's. The best fish and burgers in the world!!! Hope to get back there in the near future.

A must stop in Florida

I have been going to Ted Peters since 1960 and make it an annual stop. Would not go to Florida with out at least one stop at Tes's. This resturant has the best hamburger I have ever had, and truly the worlds greatest Cheeseburger. Try the german potato salad and the Manhattan clam chouder...they are GREAT. Where else can you get a frosted mug of root beer?

The Best Cheeseburgers in the World!

I'm sure Ted Peters has good smoked fish. Everybody says so. The real reason to visit there, however, is to order a cheeseburger. They're huge and delicious. Forget the fries, Ted Peters dosen't have a fryer in the kitchen. Order the German Potato Salad. Top it off with a root beer served in a frosted mug.
